Good stay but a bit expensive

    rating21 Oct 2024

Enjoyed the experience of staying on a “boat”, but rooms are fairly cramped. Breakfast is standard ‘buffet’ but was nice enough. Reception staff were friendly but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price - especially what they’re trying to charge at the moment. Would recommend if it was more of a “budget” price.

    Good weekend

Went here for a birthday girls trip, boat was a laugh and it was quite funny staying on a boat, the only downfall to this hotel is you have to get a boat back and forth, you didn’t feel like you was on a boat while sleeping and it was nice to experiance something different

    Loft letter B, loved it!

    rating17 Aug 2024

We recently stayed in loft letter B on Botel. What can I say?! My boys absolutely loved it! We didn't tell them about the half pipe or skateboards in our room so they loved them! Lovely coffee pods available for the coffee machine in the room. The seating/dining area is tiny so we didn't use it for that, we mainly used it as a wardrobe area and a place to put out things. The two beds are together on the top most floor. Our boys are 5 and 8 and they managed the steps no problem however they made me very nervous with how steep they were. We managed and the beds were very comfortable. There was a decked area to sit along with some chairs and a high table. The room was perfect for what we wanted/needed. The temperature while we were there was in the mid to high 20's and the room was amazingly cool. Be warned, there are no blinds on the big windows so if the ferry is passing you may flash the odd person if they happen to be looking up. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and Botel was located so close to the ferry it was an absolute doddle getting anywhere. There is also a very handy supermarket round the corner (if like me you like proper milk in yout coffee, not uht).

    No no no!

    rating31 Mar 2024

We booked for 2 nights. We were put in ‘E’ on top of the ship. It turned out we should have been in ‘B’ but the porter brought us to the wrong room. The receptionist later blamed me for that! Even though it was him who opened the door for us…we hadn’t a clue where we were going! The space was dire…flaking paint, leaking windows, stained carpet, broken toilet seat…a sleeping are that was completely unsuitable for four middle aged ladies. It was one large built in bed with two four foot mattresses that the four of us were meant to sleep on! The bed was on a mezzanine floor reached by a spiral metal staircase and it had a very low barrier to prevent you falling to your death! We were provided with 2, yes 2 single bed duvets between us! I could not relax up there so we threw down one mattress and two of us slept downstairs. We did complain at reception but were told that the hotel was full and we could not be moved. We complained vehemently the next morning to the manager and he was able to provide two better rooms immediately. That was at 9:30am which means those rooms were available the night before too!I had written an email to Clickandgo before we went to bed the night we arrived,as we had booked with them and they were on it first thing next morning and they moved us to Best Western Hotel for our second night. We decided to take that offer and left the Botel. If you want to stay in Botel make sure you get a room in the main part and not in the letters!
