Great location, peaceful stay.

Great location. Close enough to the Centraal station so we didn't have to lug our suitcases all over the city, and only about a 5 minute walk from the fun parts of Amsterdam. Staff were friendly and accommodating at all times, the room was warm, dark and quiet; we had superior double 202. Great shower with bath. Breakfast was good, toaster, cheeses, danish, eggs, croissants and a range of drinks. Really enjoyed our stay here, would come again.

Really good 3 star. Location excellent, just 800 metres from train station and across the water from the floating Sea Palace restaurant, and a few doors down from Cafe Pollux. The check in was easy and staff all very friendly. The room we had was a superior double in 101, the room is adequate size, shower room small but good shower, soaps provided and hair dryer in shower room, towels changed every day. TV in room also. There are steep stairs, but our floor had a very small lift direct to floor 1.The breakfast is self service and has a good choice of teas, coffees which are made using a modern coffee machine, there are juices, bread, meats, cheeses, cereal, scramble eggs, eggs and sausages, and the usual pastries. Good variety of food.The hotel is close to train, trams and metro and close to Dam square, red light etc.Check out was simple and we were able to store our luggage in a secure room while we waited for our flight.We would stay here again.

The hotel didn’t really come up to standard though it was very quiet, is in a good central position near to the train station and had a very comfortable bed.

The hotel is easy walking distance into town centre (5 mins) very quiet and comfortable the room and shower room was very clean. Breakfast good and buffet replenished often. Great coffee! Most of all the staff were very friendly and helpful giving us good tips of places to visit eg getting a bus to Voldamen and taking a ferry to Marken which was a great day out, very different from the city.Definitely recommend this hotel for a city break.

I was not sure to give 4 or 3 stars. I gave 4, but I try to explain why.The location of hotel is great.The staff were friendly and helpful.The breakfast was great too.The only problem I had was that my room was under ground floor and they didn't have any elevator for those levels. So I had to carry my heavy luggage when going down or up the stairs.Also the room was somehow old and I had one mosquito in my room because the window was open for some hours. I asked to close it. Because it also allowed outside noise and sounds come inside.
