Location

This family run hotel is centrally located next to a wonderful park near to Amsterdam's city and tourist centre. It is 15 km to the North Sea and public transport leaves from directly by the hotel. It is also just 15 km to the airport.

Facility

36 rooms, including 8 single rooms and 12 double rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service and a car hire service. A bicycle hire service gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms.     DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! They are currently scamming the guests. The hotel is in a process of renovation with trash, broken glass, bins, bolts and open wires laying around everywhere. Workers are drilling, walking around and doing construction work as you'll stay there. There's not enough staff in the hotel and the one that is would rather not work in the environment the hotel owners put them in. There is an overall bad vibe and not mention hazardous environment that should be illegal to even be listed and sell rooms.

    Definition of a rug pull, private equity bought this place and it suffers GREATLY as a result.

    The First floor and the common areas are undergoing massive renovations. We booked in the fall and got no heads up until we walked in and saw it this past week.For the price you pay this is a real rug pull. Our room had no art on the walls, no leafy green accents like the images on their site, no access to the cool patio behind the building which has been repurposed as a staging ground for construction. It was regularly noisy from construction and echoey (probably due to them taking down all the plants and pictures) and there were pervasive smells from the ongoing work on the flooring.We stayed a whole week in early April and never saw any progress so I suspect this will be ongoing for a while. (I'm sure renovating a whole floor is a lot of work, maybe it would have been more efficient to do it without customers?)Their temp office was right next to room 007, the “deluxe suite”. We heard every phone call, every doorbell ring, it was honestly quite a poor experience.The location is amazing but for the price in it’s current state I would strongly suggest going somewhere else.If management had given us a heads up, maybe a discount for staying in an active construction zone, I would feel differently but instead we got luke warm service and no acknowledgment of the elephant in the room. What their website promises is a far cry from what you actually get.Amsterdam is an awesome city to explore, but you should probably go to any other hotel for the experience.

    Worst ever - avoid at all cost

    Terrible. Entire ground floor a total bomb site. No notification of intense work still being done. Personnel ineffective and not remotely helpful or understanding. Worst experience ever!! All that at full price without any sense to offer discount or something to recognise the horrendous situation. Another guest with limited mobility on fourth floor had to struggle up and down stairs as lift wasn’t working… Website photos not representative. Total fraud.

    Had an amazing stay at De Pijp Boutique Hotel in Amsterdam - it was clean, comfortable and the staff were both helpful and friendly!If there was one critique I'd make, it would be nice to have some teamaking facilities in the bedrooms. Other than that, we had a great time.Special shout out to Ivo for being so attentive to our needs - he was wonderful!
