  Minimalist and Not Worth the Price

  On the plus side, the staff was extremely friendly and room was clean. But given the high rate charged here, I expected more and I'd say this was the most disappointing of the 4 hotels I recently visited this past month in the area. The hotel was lacking in virtually all facets:Amenities: No gym, no in-room refrigerator, no coffee maker, limited towels, etc.Room: Extremely small and unless you upgrade to canal, the view is non-existent.Breakfast: Limited offerings (e.g. only protein was luke warm eggs and cold cuts). Location: Requires a long walk (25 minutes at minimum) to any point of interest. This location certainly charges a premium for the location, but it was not worth it. If you want to save significantly, stay in another location (RAI, Convention, Airport) and just take public transit to canal belt.   Stayed at Holiday Inn City Hall in Amsterdam, our room was great overlooking the canal!!

  I stayed at this hotel and our room was great overlooking a great canal! But best of was the front desk attendant named Marie. Make sure if you question that you ask Marie. She always was willing to help with directions, calling a cab, or ideas of what to see next and she always answered with a smile on her face. She is a treasure! Not all attendants were so competent. Ask for Marie!

  The rooms were spacious and well equipped, the beds were comfortable. the pillows were generally uncomfortable, being quite lumpy and old feeling. The bathroom was near perfect, with a large mirror, sink, high-quality shower, and clean toilet. I just wish there was a lock on the door. The breakfast was amazing, lots of food on offer, some cooked, baked, and more! However, there was a lack of seating options and so I’d recommend getting there early to avoid having no seat!Location was a little too far from the city centre, about 25 minutes to walk, and 20 to get to Amsterdam Centraal station. so if you are only staying for a couple days maybe a hotel closer to the sightseeing opportunities may be a better option. But overall i would recommend this hotel.   An excellent hotel stay. Good value and good location in the city. I could walk everywhere. The hotel is a two block walking distance to the Rembrandt Musueam. My room was cleaned every day. The tea bags and coffee was refilled every day. The stay was not 100 % perfect. There was no fridge or microwave in my room. The lounge space in the main lobby was limited.

  The Hotel was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient. Location was first class with everything within walking distance. We booked breakfast because we didn't know any restaurants as it was our first time in Amsterdam. A word of caution,we arrived in Central Station at7:00 on Saturday evening and were charged €53 for the taxi. The Hotel told us that it was standard fare for Saturday night.
