The hotel was built in 1900. The hotel has 23 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe, a TV room, medical assistance, a laundry service and a smoke alarm are available. Amenities include a drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.     Worst Hotel Experience in Amsterdam

    If you’re considering staying here—don’t. This hotel turned what was supposed to be a meaningful trip into a complete disaster.They rely entirely on electronic keys to access both the hotel and the rooms. Sounds modern, right? Until the system fails and you’re locked out on the street for 1.5 hours with no staff in sight. I had an important event to attend—the whole reason I came to Amsterdam—and thanks to their utter lack of service, I arrived late and flustered.I called the hotel’s number multiple times. No answer and no one at reception despite knowing there was a widespread issue with the key system.And the cherry on top? When I reached out afterward to request compensation for the inconvenience and missed event, they refused to take any responsibility. No apology, no refund, not even a gesture of goodwill. Just cold indifference.This wasn’t just bad service—it was nonexistent. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being stranded, ignored, and disrespected.

    Great position, and nothing else. Uncomfortable and very poor. And not an hotel, shouldn't be avdertised as such Some rooms in the basement. No air conditioning. No breakfast. Level of cleanliness was acceptable, just acceptable. To be avoided. Awful value for money.

    Hotelroom im basement is not our choice. A small window. The noise of the pumps in the room nextdoor is not acceptable.Reception did not try to get information on the situation, nor did she give any help for finding a different room. We left the hotel to find a different place to stay.According to the reaction of the hotel, we should have waited for sollution!Reaction of the hotel: We are sorry to hear about the situation.We investigated the issue with our mechanic and according to him the sound was present only from 14:30 till 15:30, because there was a timer set.After 15:30 there was no sound anymore and there is a certainty of a good night rest.It is correct that our receptionist could not offer an alternative of changing rooms as we were fully booked.As you mentioned, unfortunately the decision was made to leave our hotel within 10 minutes while we could update you the situation and ensure you of a good night rest.Therefore we are sorry to inform you that we are unable to meet your request of a refund.Hope I informed you well and wish you a wonderful day.     A good location for restaurants, but tram needed to get into city area. The hotel is in great need of TLC. if you decide to book, do not accept room 225. The drain in the shower reeks of sewer smell and makes it hard to sleep. Door must be kept closed and bath mat placed over the drain. We complained and staff tried to alleviate smell, but they knew it wouldn’t work. Wall paper is peeling off and skirting boards need a good paint. Bed was comfortable enough, room was very small and no where to put suitcases. Not recommended, especially room 225.

    Lovely little hotel steps away from Vondelpark and east of the Van Gogh museum in old Amsterdam. Great location, excellent restaurant and block away. Let us check in early after an overseas flight. Better for solo travelers or a couple. Definitely would return
