    Great quality/price Ratio!

    rating21 Sept 2021

Great hotel, close to the city center as you can take the 1 or 17 and its direct to the central station and all touristic areas. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and with a good ratio price/quality. I paid 6e for the city tax upon arrival. The staff was very polite and nice and very accommodating. You can buy the city card for public transport at the hotel which is super practical and they have a lot of discounts on any interesting stuff. They also have a private parking which is really practical and amazing. It was a bit difficult to find due to all the work that was going on in the street and that is blocking all the surrounding roads. Tiko H, General Manager at Hotel King's Court, responded to this review Dear CurlyZee,Thank you so much for your awesome review. We really do appreciate your feedback. The team are thrilled that you found them to be polite and helpful - this is what hospitality is all about - and that you loved the spacious room. Our rooms vary in size from singles to 8 bedded rooms which is fairly unique in a hotel in Amsterdam, so we have something for everyone. We are glad that you like the location. As you mentioned, it is very easy to get to the city centre using various public transport options and we also have rental bikes should you wish to explore the city the typical Dutch way.We are also pleased that you were able to make use of our free car park offer although we apologise if it was not that easy to reach. Fortunately, the roadworks will be finished soon.On behalf of everyone here at the Hotel Kings Court Amsterdam, thank you for choosing to stay with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon.Warm regardsTiko, Hotel ManagerTel: +31202236229Email: info@hotelkingscourt.nl**PLEASE NOTE - We are delighted to offer our inhouse guests complimentary car parking in our secure, underground car park, upon availability, until December 20, 2021. Please do contact us directly to make a reservation. We look forward to welcoming you.**

    Great!

The rooms were very spacious, clean.Staff was very helpful and friendly.Got everything explained in detail.Public transport is right in front of the hotel with the city only a 10-15 minutes ride.Would definitely stay again. Tiko H, General Manager at Hotel King's Court, responded to this review Dear yun_wang_h,Thank you very much for your wonderful 5/5 score concerning your recent stay with us here at the Kings Court Hotel and for your fantastic feedback. We are delighted to read that you found the staff friendly and helpful and our rooms to be spacious and clean - these are two of our biggest assets and some of our rooms can even accommodate up to 8 guests. As you mention, our hotel has a great location close to the city centre and is easily accessible due to the multiple transport options that we have on our doorstep. However, next time, why not rent one of our bikes and visit Amsterdam the Dutch way.We very much look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future.Warm regardsTiko, Hotel ManagerTel: +31202236229Email: info@hotelkingscourt.nl**We are happy to offer our inhouse guests free car parking, upon availability, until December 25, 2021**

    Never again

    rating26 Jul 2020

Manager was rude and dismissive. Charging for all you can get breakfast if you didn’t finish it. My partner was extremely ill and I asked 3 members of staff could I take him a bit of toast to the room, which they agreed. Manager then stopped me, really rudely said, “where do you think you’re going Madame” and told me I couldnt take it to him. I told him that we would be down and he would be sick over the dining room and we wouldn’t clean it up. He wasn’t impressed with the fact I stood up to him. Bedroom outdated and poor quality. Broken window that let in a draft. Nothing around you at all. We read reviews of the manager taking passports so when we left the room, we made sure to take all valuables with us, including passports because we didn’t want to be stuck in that hotel. Do not disturb sign was on the door and the door was locked, yet someone (assuming domestic staff) attempted to gain access to our room 3 times in a short period of time - while we were there. We actually left 2 days early because we hated it that much. Please read reviews before you stay here, we regret it so much!!!!! Tiko Hu, General Manager at Hotel King's Court, responded to this review Dear GuestThank you for taking the time to review our property, however, much of what you have written does not appear to be authentic. We do not recall this situation at all. For example, why would you ask 3 members of staff if you can take some toast to the room if they agreed the first time? Furthermore some of your accusations are quite slanderous which we were saddened to read.If you would like to contact us directly to discuss this further then we would be more than happy to hear from you.RegardsTiko, Hotel ManagerTel: +31202236229Email: info@hotelkingscourt.nl

Good hotel! But look out for how you use the oven at breakfast

    rating22 Jul 2020

Overall a fine hotel for a couple nights! For us it was a little bit far from the center. Man at the reception was very kind and helpful! Nice breakfast in a nice place with a lot of light. Unfortunately one of the staf members was very unfriendly to us at the breakfast.traveled 2 years ago. Tiko Hu, General Manager at Hotel King's Court, responded to this review Dear Tessa,Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the Kings Court Hotel. A lot has changed over the last 2 years but we do hope that you will come back and see us again. Perhaps this time you could rent a bike and see Amsterdam like a true Dutchie. If you book directly with us you will also benefit from our direct booking rates. We look forward to seeing you again soonTiko, Hotel ManagerTel: +31202236229Email: info@hotelkingscourt.nl**We are happy to offer our inhouse guests free car parking, upon availability, until December 25, 2020**

they advertised a 24 hr bar, yet was told i couldn't buy so much as a coffee during the night/early morning. was told they didn't have a plug adaptor despite that not being the case. paid for the breakfast which was a joke and the dining area was covered in threatening signs saying if you don't finish your food or try to take anything you will be fined. in short unwelcoming, cheap and nasty Tiko Hu, General Manager at Hotel King's Court, responded to this review Dear Michael,Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel although we are of course disappointed to read your comments. With regards to the bar, this is physically open from 12.00 - 21.00 after which time we stock soft drinks and alcoholic drinks in the public fridges which you are able to access - apologies if this was not clear. As for the breakfast signs, this is quite a common practice in 3 star hotels as we prefer our guests to have breakfast in the breakfast room and not take food out of the restaurant. We certainly don't wish to appear threatening so again we do apologise if you felt that this was the case.It would be great if you would consider giving us a second chance and if you were to do so then please don't hesitate to contact me directly.Kind regardsTiko, Hotel ManagerTel: 31202236229Email: info@hotelkingscourt.nlFree car parking until December 25, 2020 for our inhouse guests (upon availability)**Book directly with us at the hotel for at least 3 nights or longer and receive complimentary breakfast every morning throughout your stay.
