    Horrible hygiene

    Filthy bathroom ventilation, no alternative offered, and management refused any refund after I had to leave early. Hides behind “non-refundable” terms instead of basic hygiene. Avoid this hotel.

    Very disappointing stay

    The room conditions are very unsatisfactory. As soon as we came in the room, we were hoping to get the hairdryer, only to discover that the box in which the hairdryer was placed has been full of weed, assumingly left by the other previous guests. The smell of the box and place where it was located was horrendous. We went to the reception ourselves to hand in the box after the notification of the situation. In the process of our stay, we discovered the bed mattress to have multiple stains from unknown spillage, causing discomfort for sleeping knowing the fact. In addition, the bathroom toilet inside the room was not well cleaned, as there were evident stains on the toilet which we then thoroughly cleaned ourselves, along with the wardrobe shelves which were full of dust. The cleanliness of the hotel was definitely very disappointing and it is apparent that the staff is not cleaning the rooms appropriately, as the places we discovered unclean were easily reachable. We will not be staying again, as even after notifying the hotel staff, there was no action or apology taken towards to the mentioned issues.

    Such a fantastic hotel - it was in such an ideal location, it was beautiful, great sized room, and it was a hidden gem!It seems like it’s out of the way but the train station is literally right next door and was only a 15/20 min ride to central! :).

    Nice hotel conveniently located right next to the trams and train only 15 minutes away from the airport and Zandaam. We had a room with three single beds which had one open rack/ shelf closet a desk and chair.Positives Your staff are very friendly and welcoming and you also offer luggage hold.The room was a pretty decent size including the shower (very large)Needs workThere should be some sort of wardrobe or drawers so that guests don’t have to live out of their suitcase, provide an iron and please get some smart TVs.

    My partner and I stayed here August 2024. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return in the future. Our room had everything one would need in a hotel room: shampoo, shower gel, hairdryer, kettle, coffee, tea and TV. However, there was no fridge in the standard double room. The hotels location is extremely handy as it is a very short walk from public transport which takes you to Amsterdam Central and so on. Check in and check out was a very smooth process. The hotel was a very reasonable price. I would recommend Hotel New kit to anyone visiting the Dam.
