  Ok for one night

  Booked a 3 bed room for myself, husband and adult son as we had been staying with friends in Groningen and needed a place to stay the night before our flight home. The location was fine; it’s about a 10 min bus ride away from the airport with free shuttles going to and from the hotel twice an hour. There was a bus station opposite and also a McDonald’s which you can watch the planes land, which was nice (if you like that sort of thing). The room was too small for 3 adults. The toilet is separate in a tiny cubicle but the shower was in the room, which is not ideal when you’re sharing with your son. There is very little room to walk past the end of the beds, which can make it feel quite claustrophobic I think. The bed was comfy enough but the sheets were bunched up and felt scratchy. The room was clean enough and the workers appear to work hard. Staff were pleasant enough. I’d say this is ok for a night; I wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

  Ridiculous shower layout

  I booked 3 rooms here for 7 people so I could take my parents to see the Tulips, unfortunately this was the only hotel available as I randomly picked the flower procession weekend without knowing, so everything else in the vacinity was booked !!I requested a twin room, which I did not get. We had to make up the beds ourselves in the bunks, which is not that easy when you've had a long day and you have to balance on the edge to do it.My biggest issue with the rooms was the ridiculous design of the shower - the shower cubicle has a glass door, and is straight in the bedroom, the toilet is a seperate (tiny) cubicle. So there is zero privacy when showering, you cannot take your things into to get dressed in there as it is too small. I shared a room with my 12 year old nephew, which meant that one of us had to leave the room when the other showered, so save any awkwardness. Such an impractical idea, If I had been coming away with another female friend this would have been similarly awkward.A note on how tiny the toilet cubicle is, my brother in law who is not particularly large - after having to make up the bunk for his young daughter - had his knees against the loo door while sitting....I just do not get it ???   Avoid this place! Filthy rooms, overcharged, and terrible service.

  Our experience at this hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. We arrived to find a long queue with only one person working at reception. After waiting, we were told our room wasn't even ready, and the staff had to scramble to find us a place to stay.To make matters worse, they overcharged us. My booking was clearly for €128.10, but they charged my card €153.10. It seems they charged breakfast for the entire group instead of just one person as requested, and instead of a pre-authorization, they took the full (incorrect) amount immediately.The smell on the floor was unbearable—it reeked of raw marijuana, not just smoke, but as if it were being stored there in bags. But the worst part was the hygiene. When we finally got into the room, the mattress on the bunk bed was disgustingly dirty and covered in stains (see attached photo).After complaining, we were moved to another room, but the indifference from the staff was shocking. The next morning, there was absolutely no attention or apology for the trouble we went through. They clearly do not care about their guests once they have your money. Save your time and money—stay somewhere else!   This is not an comfortble hotel to stay

  One thing I really liked about this hotel is that the transfers are free. This is very convenient, especially if you have things to do outside the hotel area.The hotel itself, however, was disappointing. I would not recommend it. The rooms are very small and not comfortable at all. The bedroom and bathroom are extremely tiny—it feels very claustrophobic.   Great value for a short stay!!

  Great value for our short stay between flights. The room was small but fully functional and provided everything we needed. Walked across the street to good restaurant. Bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Need to mention the night manager Mateus who went above and beyond to provide extra comfort to a couple jet lagged, tired, and hungry guests In the wee hours of the morning. He definitely made our stay worthwhile and because of him we will be return guests on our next long flight.
