    Great location! Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions on local eateries. Rooms were clean and spacious for what we booked. The bar in the lobby was convenient for nightcaps and snacks and the infused water was great after a long day of exploring.

    Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Amsterdam

    I had a wonderful stay at the Max Brown Museum Square Hotel in Amsterdam. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot, especially if you enjoy visiting museums and walking around the beautiful neighborhood nearby. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing, which made it easy to rest after a day in the city. The hotel is set in a typical Amsterdam building with very steep stairs, something characteristic of the city and actually part of the charm and experience. What really made the stay special was the kindness of the hotel staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable stay in Amsterdam.

    Precipitous stairs, tiny rooms and narrow beds

    We stayed in this quirky hotel for a couple of nights in Amsterdam. The shabby chic general areas are great, but our rooms were small - not that in itself was a problem as we had single occupancy, but for two people it would have been challenging. The beds were beyond narrow, I honestly thought my original room was for children! I moved to a double bedded room, which was fine for 1. The stairs are very steep, curved and the treads narrow. The ambient lighting and dark decor do not help here. There is a lift which I ended up using in spite of being on the first floor. The staff were lovely and very knowledgeable and helpful and the location of the hotel really convenient.

    I typically don’t write reviews, but I thought I’d help out those thinking about this hotel. My family and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very walkable to pretty much everything. We stayed towards the back of the hotel, so it was very quiet and very rarely heard other noises. The rooms are small, I will say that, but it was perfect for our stay. We figured we’d mostly be out and just needed a safe place to stay and a nice bed, and this was exactly that. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The room and hotel itself was also very clean. The stairs getting into the hotel were pretty steep, but I’ve seen some reviews saying the elevator in the hotel didn’t work, which they were for us so that wasn’t an issue. They didn’t have any bottle water in the room, which wasn’t an issue for us, we just made sure we got some before we would get back to the hotel for the evening. I think overall the value of our stay was great!
