    Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens — Design hotel in the emerging Houthavens district

    Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens is a modern hotel with a clear identity in both design and atmosphere.Located in the Houthavens district, slightly outside the historic center, the property is nonetheless well connected to the city thanks to efficient public transport, taxis and the extensive bicycle network typical of Amsterdam.Rooms are not particularly large but they are well organized and functional. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom standard, and the overall cleanliness is excellent (5/5). The view over the canal adds a pleasant touch and fits perfectly with the atmosphere of Amsterdam.One of the strongest aspects of the hotel is definitely the common areas. The lobby is spacious and well designed, with billiards, games, guitars and several relaxing spaces where guests can work or spend time. The atmosphere is young, dynamic and always very well maintained.Breakfast offers a good variety in buffet style, although nothing particularly exceptional. The hotel also features a well-equipped gym and a small indoor pool.Prices are aligned with the general level of Amsterdam for this type of property.Overall, a modern and well-managed hotel, particularly suitable for short stays in the city.

    Bed left me in pain

    The bed is extremely uncomfortable. My back and neck are so sore. You can feel each coil and spring. There’s no safe in the room and no wardrobe/closet. I would not recommend it.     The hotel was very clean and quiet, which made for a comfortable stay. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out. The pool area was clean and nicely designed, perfect for relaxing plus they also have a spa/ sauna if you like that vibe .A big plus: they let you store your bags for free after check-out, which was really convenient. Location-wise, it’s just one easy bus ride from Centraal Station, so getting around was simple.Overall, a great place to stay—would definitely return!     Securty guard/Worker Harrasing Guests

    They have a security guard walking around the property who looks extremely Rugid Mob like. He Doesn't even look like he works there. He is also harassing the guests asking them whether or not they are staying at the hotel. Its all very inhospitable. I decided to stay at this location because of Convenince for a project i was working on around the corner. However, because of this individual, it ended up being much more inconvenient. He needs to learn proper english. and he also needs to learn how to dress better.
