Location

This hotel is located in the very heart of Amsterdam. That means that guests can embark on a roundtrip boat for a guided tour on the well-known canals in less than 2 minutes' walk. The Anne Frank House is a 15-minute walk away and so is the Dam, whereas the Van Gogh Museum and the Heineken Brewery are only 20 minutes away by foot. The Rembrandt House and the Red Light District are only 10 minutes' walk away from the hotel. The RAI Congress Centre can be reached by tram in 20 minutes.

The hotel was built in 1912. 95 rooms, including 31 single rooms and 59 double rooms, are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts.     We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights after a cruise. My wife has some mobility issues and travels with a scooter. The staff here could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel has a ramp the staff use, and we were able to use that then fold the scooter to fit in the elevators. It is very well located in a square with loads of restaurants and clubs. Noise was not an issue. Very convenient to city tram service.

    The location was very good. The room was also comfortable although a little bit small. The breakfast included was not good; the quality and variety could improve a lot.

    Everything was nice. no noise in the hotel, nice people, on rembrandplein. really perfect! till next year!

    The Hotel is a Ideal location, and looks good at first. We are 2 couples 64-69 years old. Checkin , they do lock up your bags if you are early, but not helpful in any early-checkin or updating your room being ready. watching the staff from the lobby several times, I noticed they are over staffed at the desk with young folks , playing around and not tending business. I noticed the fruit flavored water in lobby was yeasterdays and needed refilling, and told them. They did nothing, unhelpful,and show no initiative. We had 2 rooms, 504 & 204. Mine 504 had a non working coffee machine, dead light bulb in lamp, toilet seattucked in corner, very cramped, but greeat view. Friends had rm. 204, they said they finally turned down the bed after 2 days, and found a large yellow urine stain that they had been sleeping in for 2 days. Now I mentioned the desk staff, but clearly the housekeeping staff is "Under staffed," taking short cuts and not changing sheets and to be aware. This place is clearly poorly-managed. It has potential, but unsanitary and priority is on "Aesthetics" and not sanitation and functionality. Look for another Hotel.

    This was a fantastic hotel for a 3 day trip yo Amsterdam. Only negative was the noise from partying in the square until the early hours of the morning.
