    Nice room on the 13 floor with good shower and decent bed. Nice lobby bar. Close to train station which brings you to the airport in 3 minutes so perfect.

    Standard business hotel which is close to Hoofddorp station which gives easy access to both the airport and city centre (as well as other parts of NL). I was there on business and it was fine but nothing special for a 4*.Breakfast seemed very expensive for a standard spread.

    Rating is more like a 3 star than 4. Beds are fine.Bandwidth internet is low. In de room there is only NPO channel 1, the rest you can not receive. The shower was blocked--> overflows. The cleaning lady cleans with vinegar which gives a nasty smell. Coffee is not being supplemented after first day, so ran out. No toilet brush to clean up. Not what I was used of Novotel Amsterdam 30 years ago. I will take a cheaper hotel next time, where I can expect a lesser service.

    Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. I paid for early check-in at 10 am on the 30th May for my family. We arrived at 11 am, and the receptionist had no record of my reservation initially, but then found my reservation and informed me that the room was not yet available to check in early. She also wanted to refund the early check-in charges. I informed the receptionist that the children are tired and we would like to check in soon. The time now is 1.15 pm. We arrived at the Novotel at 11 am, and the room still hasn't been cleaned!Disappointing start to the holiday!     Be Cautious Booking Prepaid Reservations Here

    I understand that prepaid and non-refundable reservations come with restrictions. However, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer care shown throughout this experience. I contacted the property multiple times regarding an unexpected personal emergency and respectfully requested consideration in the form of a partial refund, future credit, or revised travel dates. Responses often took close to a week between replies and ultimately offered no meaningful assistance. What made this especially disappointing was that several other hotels on the same multi-city European trip — including prepaid reservations — were willing to show at least some level of understanding or good will. Unfortunately, this property chose not to. As an ALL Accor member who has done considerable previous business with Accor properties, that made the experience even more frustrating. Policies are one thing. How a hotel chooses to treat guests is another. Based on this experience — especially for an airport hotel where travel plans can and do change — I would be very cautious about booking a prepaid reservation here in the future.
