Location

This hotel is perfectly located in the green business park of Schiphol-Rijk. Surrounded by the greenery of the business park, the hotel can easily be reached by car via nearby motorways. The hotel's close proximity to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, Amsterdam's World Trade Center and the city centre of Amsterdam makes it ideal for business meetings and conferences.

Facility

The hotel has 12 suites, an apartment and 266 double rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Needs Some Customer Service Training at the Front Desk

    Room was clean and big (Jr Suite). Hotel used by flight crews on airport grounds. Front desk staff needs additional training in customer service. Arrived mid-morning and knew we couldn't check-in. Waited 5 hours in the lobby while two people walked in off the street without a reservation and recieved rooms. Two existing guests came and asked for later check-outs and were granted. After lunch at the hotel restaurant, approached the front desk to ask about our status. Attendant stared at a screen for awhile when her colleague came up behind her and said "just tell them it will be 25 minutes" like we weren't even there. I asked if anyone would please keep us posted. Five minutes later the attendant comes and tells us that the room had been ready earlier. One incident that really caused more of a concern was when we arrived. My wife and I were trying to managed 6 pieces of luggage. They have a huge revolving door. My wife tried to get out with 3 big bags and got caught by the door. It literally took her shoe off her foot as her entire load fell. She was really struggling. The front desk attendant just stood and stared. She finally came over not to help but to chastise us for using the revolving door instead of the stationary door. No sign or instructions and no assistance. The other incident spanned the time when we were sitting in the lobby. The front desk staff seemed to be be defensive about every phone call that required their assistance. Their tone was combative. After they hung up, they would talk loudly and laugh about the person that they just spoke to in front of customers who were right there.

    Raddison Blu is very isolated.

    This hotel, while near the Schiphol airport, is close to absolutely nothing else. They have a small restaurant here, but that is it. The place felt very isolated and though the rooms were nice, it's not worth it We did walk 3/4 of a mile to find a very nice little (and busy) coffee shop called Kimi's in the community of Aalsmeerderbrug. I highly recommend Kimi's, and the walk in the community and along the canals was beautiful.     Very average experience with poor customer service.

    Well as a hotel experience goes, this was very average.You need to take a shuttle bus. These go every 30 minutes, so if you just missed one, along with the 10 minute ride it can take 40 minutes before you make the hotel.Shuttle is free to hotel but have to pay €6.50 to return to airport.Check-in was very disappointing. One person working at check-in and when the bus arrives we are many at the same time.A woman do come out and then started to ask if the couple behind were off a cancelled flight she was expecting. They said yes, but also pointed out I was in front of them and maybe should be served first. The woman at the hotel ignored this, served them, and then disappeared.Eventually checked in by the young man. He mumbled, did not smile and gave no information about the hotel, restaurant options, breakfast times, nothing.Very poor customer service on all levels from those 2.Room:I had a premium room with king size bed on 5th floor. Decent size. Were clean. Plenty of light and large windows with good view. Bed was firm, which I prefer.Negative in the room was that the mini bar fridge and air on were incredibly noisy. Could still hear them even when I had ear plugs in to sleep.It's an OK hotel but with the hassle of getting back and forth and the time adds, plus the very average experience, think I will try some other alternatives before returning.     A comfortable and pleasant family stay!

    We stayed as a family of four in the hotel (family room).Room was large and clean, it had just been deep cleaned. Beds comfortable and seemed new.The hotel has 2 restaurants, one for breakfast and one for lunch & dinner. Buffet breakfast was a treat as they offered on te spot fresh items such as porridge. Dinner in the evening was convenient and food was good, international kitchen. We took the hotel shuttle back on the morning of departure, which goes every half an hour. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
