Location

This design boutique hotel is well located within the famous Canal Belt and a short walk from Dam square, Leidse square, Rembrandt square and many well-known museums. For business or leisure, this hotel is an excellent choice to explore this lively and vibrant city. It is the first hotel in Europe that operates without any CO2 emissions. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport, taxi or with own car.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 75 non-smoking rooms and 6 junior suites. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services include a baggage storage service. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, medical assistance, a transfer service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. Complimentary newspapers are available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A flatscreen television, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower. A vanity mirror, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a selection of sport and entertainment options. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include cycling/mountain biking and windsurfing or, for a fee, a gym. A dance club offers fun and entertainment.

Meals

At the non-smoking restaurant, guests are waited on in a cosy atmosphere. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals and organic food can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    The hotel is in a good location, within easy walk of all the main attractions as well as many local bars & restaurants. The staff were friendly & professional, all public arears & our room were clean. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Our bed was comfortable and although we overlooked the main street at the front quiet. The bathroom had all the normal amenities, the only small issue was lack of space &/or shelving for the electric tooth brush & associated bits. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, both hot & cold, with an egg station. The food being fresh & good quality. The Senses Bar was a pleasant spot for a night cap. Overall, an enjoyable few days, with pricing being on par for this type of accommodation.     Location and Modern Quiet Room Great Choice for Us

    Perfect location equidistant between Centraal Station, the Museum Quarter and Jordaan.Special thanks to Noella for her kindness and assistance and to Raymond and Victor for welcoming us so warmly. Our Splendid City King Room gave us just enough space for a comfortable 5-night stay and was modern and clean. It also overlooked the back residential area and was extremely quiet. While the bathroom is small, it is modern, and we added storage area by hanging the towels on hooks and using that area for toiletries. Taking the opportunity to address some other reviews:—shower water splashing. We avoided this by facing the hand-held shower away and by adding an extra towel outside the shower. So thankful to have a powerful, hand-held, walk in shower in addition to rainfall (which we never used).—As for the WhatsApp communication, it worked VERY well. The bot referred specific questions to the correct place, eg, asking for additional towels. Hotels are expensive in AMS. Given the location and other features, we felt this was a great choice for us.
