Location

The hotel is housed in a stylish 19th-century building which started life as a school in 1895. The hotel is located on Roelof Hartplein, an ideal location in the middle of Amsterdam-Zuid. From here, guests can easily walk to the well-known Museumplein, where the Concertgebouw, Stedelijk Museum, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum can be found. Vondelpark, P.C. Hooftstraat and the trendy neighbourhood ‘De Pijp’ are also literally just around the corner. Exploring beautiful Amsterdam was never so easy!

Facility

The hotel was built in 1895. 40 non-smoking rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Guests of the hotel are welcome to relax in the garden. Vehicles can be parked in the garage (for a fee), subject to availability. Further services include a babysitting service, a transfer service, room service and a coin-operated laundry. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (for a fee) to explore the surrounding area. Complimentary newspapers are available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Separate bedrooms are available. For a fee, extra beds or children's beds can be provided for little travellers. A safe and a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. WiFi (no extra charge) comes as standard in the rooms. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Slippers are included. A hairdryer and bathrobes are on hand in the bathrooms for everyday use. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has smoking rooms.

Sport

Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. A wellness area with a spa is available at the hotel.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a breakfast room and a bar. Breakfast, lunch and dinner offer many delicious options. The hotel also offers snacks.

    A beautiful, thoughtful, and convenient hotel in Amsterdam

    Interestingly, this is a teaching hotel. Much of the staff is studying to work in the hospitality industry. The hotel is immaculate with unique rooms and bright sunny spaces. Iuliana was spearheading the front desk. She identified restaurants that were reflective of the area and the cuisine we were seeking. She helped us with an abundance of laundry that needed to be sent out, making this chore so much easier. Breakfast is amazing. While many hotels have moved to buffets, the College Hotel instead offers an incredibly delicious set of breakfast options. Have the orange juice, you won’t regret it! But, be careful, the portions are large. We travel extensively every year for pleasure and can safely say that The College Hotel was one of our favorite hotels this year. It punches above his weight and does so with smiles at every step.     This hotel is in a trendy, less touristy area in Amsterdam, but still convent enough to get to all the sights. The hotel itself is really well done. Check in was very pleasant . Cookies and beverages were offered . Room was very clean and spacious with coffee and tea at the ready. Beautiful bar area and grounds.     Such a beautiful hotel situated perfectly in Amsterdam. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The dining experience was delicious. Our rooms were very comfortable.     Charming welcome and delicious food

    We were very nice welcomed at the door and suddenly impressed by both the exterior and the interior of the building. During the check in we were offered a welcome drink, a dutch cookie and the choice of a perfum to be sprayed in our room. The fragrances are unique by the way and designed by the hotel. We had a very pleasent night sleep after a long day. The next morning we enjoyed the breakfast, with a delicious selection a la carte. We will definitely stay again.
