Location

This charming hotel is located opposite Amsterdam’s Artis Zoo in a green area of the old city centre. Countless shops, delightful restaurants, vibrant bars and clubs are just a few minutes away, along with local public transport networks. Two famous quarters, the Rembrandt and Waterloo districts, are only a short distance from the hotel and, using the convenient transport links, the rest of the city is easy to reach.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1900. 91 rooms, including single rooms and 90 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a stereo system and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Bathrooms with wheelchair access can also be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a selection of sport and entertainment options. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include a gym and a spa or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking. A dance club offers fun and entertainment.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. A generous breakfast buffet and lunch are served every day. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    Exceptional Service!!!!

    The service was exceptional, from the moment we checked in until checkout. The General Manager and his staff were very attentive to all our needs. The location was perfect close enough to all the attractions but nestled in a quaint area. Rooms were good size and very clean . Though the price were slightly higher because our stay was during the peak time for tourist , the exceptional service made it all worth it. We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel!     Stayed here in April. The hotel is in a good location and the room was clean. I am an experienced traveler. I stayed at other Leonardo hotels in France and had amazing experiences. That is why I selected this one. No mention of elevator to my room. Or assistance with navigating the narrow stairs with luggage. The hotel had No working television when we stayed there. The front desk said it’s been down for a few days. Sorry. The feedback I would provide, This hotel relies too much on their hotel app or texts for your personal experience. They never suggested to download the their app. Or offer do you tickets for local attractions like the website shared. the staff is friendly but does not go above and beyond like the other French Leonardo locations i’ve stayed at within the last 12 months. That is why I gave it a lower rating.
