AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.Very expensive for what is basically little to no service.The rooms are small for the price, and the whole place feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Check-in is mostly self-service or through a tiny counter, which already sets the tone.The biggest issue was cleanliness. The room looked dirty, and nothing felt truly clean. The cleaning standards were honestly disappointing, especially considering how much they charge.I booked through Expedia and was given a completely different price. Since I no longer had my original confirmation, there was basically nothing I could do about it.For this price, you can definitely find a much better hotel from a bigger, more reliable brand.The terrace is cute, but people leave glasses and dishes around, and no one seems to clean them up.Room cleaning is also only available on demand, and based on the cleanliness during my stay, I’m not even sure what they actually clean.The only positive was that the staff was friendly, and I appreciated the changing room and locker option for guests arriving early. My recent stay at Zoku was absolutely fantastic, and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable experience. I had the pleasure of staying in one of their Loft XL rooms, and from the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The hotel has a really cool vibe, and it truly felt like a home away from home.The Loft XL itself was a standout. It was spacious, which made for a very relaxing stay, and having a fully functional kitchen was a huge bonus - perfect for making coffee in the morning or a quick meal. And let me tell you, the bed was exceptionally comfy, I slept like a dream every single night. Every detail in the room felt well-thought-out ana designed for comfort and practicality.Beyond the room, the staff at Zoku were genuinely wonderful. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I honestly have no complaints at all about my stay. Zoku definitely sets a high bar for a comfortable and convenient hotel experience!

REALLY NOISyI would not recommend Zoku if you want to sleep well.The loft rooms are nice (very Ikea feel). The staff are lovely.The location is ok.BUT! the loft rooms located on the 5th floor are really noisy. The loft design places the bed in a high chamber above a desk/storage thing (pointless anyway because you have a dining table in the room anyway, and plenty of storage elsewhere in the room) this means when your lying in bed and your ears are approximately 1.5 metres from the ceiling, and the floor above is the bar/restaurant, so all you hear is case/trolley wheels, plus thumpy footstep (echoey elephants) and chairs being dragged across floor etc... . It's just very very noisy so I definitely would not recommend Zoku to anyone who wants to sleep before 1:00 am ! Secret gem with a stunning view.

On top of a not very inspiring building, Zoku is a hotel, but the restaurant/bar-workspace is great. Views all around, you can see the Rijksmuseum in the distance, behind the Skinny Bridge. When the weather is fine, you can sit outside on lots of smaller and bigger terraces. Food is somewhat limited, mostly vegetarian. Atmosphere is international, waiters and service are very helpful. Even to some friends in Amsterdam, it is a bit of a secret gem. I’ve got to say, I’m really pleased with the Zoku and the game experience we had during our stay.Check in was pretty seamless. It’s basically a DIY check in on the top floor but there are staff around to guide you if you need assistance. We were able to check in slightly early which is was a godsend as we were shattered. The loft is very well designed. You pretty much have everything you need - tv (small), a Bluetooth speaker, a kitchenette including a decent fridge, a good sized table or desk if you need it! Oh and the bed I thought wasn’t going to be comfy but we had the best sleep! Everything is pretty compact but not in a bad way. I did find it slightly annoying that all the mirrors were in the bathroom/shower. I loved that there are lockers for you to park your luggage that you can just deal with yourself when you come back to collect. The work area on the top floor is lovely with great views over the city… also great coffee!
