  If you value good customer service then avoid this hotel. Attempted for almost a week to resolve an issue directly with the hotel. Initially received absolutely no response whatsoever before finally receiving an abrupt message the day before I was due to travel. There are plenty of other hotels in the area who I am sure would treat customers in a much more professional and sympathetic manner.   Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The room though small was clean and comfortable, the hairdryer had been taken and the fridge wasn't working when we got there, but the fridge as fixed as soon as we mentioned it. The food was not good and the service was very slow, as part of a coach party, I think we were treated as second class citizens. Each night had to ask for side plates to put our bread rolls on, and one member of the party had to send their steak back three times as it was served raw which just the edges cooked. The menu choices were very limited and all but one member of staff, didn't seem as if they had been trained. When mentioned that a wafer was missing from a dessert, the wafer was delivered BY HAND and put on the plate. This is a breach of hygiene standards. Some of the waiters were very rude to the member of the party that had organised the trip and was virtually shouting.I would not recommend this hotel.

  Clean but very small twin room. Nowhere to store suitcases. Only enough room for one person to move around at any one time. The other person had to sit on their bed.Plug had been stolen off the fridge, was replaced when notified to reception. Hairdryer had been stolen and hotel did not have any spare.No safe box in room.Random replacement of towels each day. On day 3 the towels provided were of hand towel size. One had stains on looking like someone had placed a coffee cup on the towel. There were three of these stains on the towel.Full range of continental breakfast available. However, choice of only 2 cereals available in a couple of small jars. These were muesli type cereals and jars were empty when we went down for breakfast. Refills arrived about 10 minutes after we requested these.The waiting staff do not appear to have been trained. They would lean across the table to pass a plate of food to someone on the other side of the table. Some food was given to you by using hands, not utensils. Steak was served with blood running out of it. No choice of how you wanted it cooked given. The last night was the only night we were offered tea or coffee after our meal.   Best place to stay in MADE, good parking, nice rooms, friendly/helpful staff, the restaurant for an evening meal is superb, water pressure is good, nice beds, easy parking, the only thing that needs to improve is the breakfast offering, it is not so delicious.   Breakfast was appalling

  We have been staying in this hotel for about 8 years now!There is always a group of us, this year it being 5 couples.We have always has very pleasant stays until this year!First of all one of the rooms wasn’t ready at the check in time of 3pm, and a coffee voucher was given as an apology!Another couple were about to walk into their room after they had just checked in and the cleaner stopped them from going in!!Then there’s the breakfast….or lack of the breakfast I should say!!We went to the breakfast room the first morning there were no sausages, barely any bacon and they weren’t cooking anymore, no tomatoes left, only one cereal, no fruit, no toaster!!This was just utterly appalling!Only good thing was that the bed was comfortable.
