The hotel's convenient location just off the A19 explains its popularity as a stop-over for business people. For an older couple such as myself and my wife on holiday by car the location is also ideal for gaining access to the city centre, barely two miles away on an easy route to drive. Although in a not particularly striking residential area we discovered just across the main road a most beautiful lake with good walking paths around it. The hotel is fairly basic in its amenities but our room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant offers a smallish but varied menu, with all meals being cooked to order. Whilst this may mean a bit of a delay in one's meal arriving, when it does it is beautifully fresh and hot. Our two dinners were both excellent. If you want alcohol with your meal, check that the hotel manager will be on duty before you decide to eat in. No manager on duty means that the other staff are not permitted by law to serve alcohol (we got caught out by this on our second evening!) Overall, my wife and I thought the hotel offered very good value for money and its chief attraction was, as we discovered, the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff who were without exception delightful people who made us feel extremely welcome.

    By Far The Worst Hotel!

    rating20 Apr 2025

Hands down one of the worst hotels I’ve had the displeasure of staying in. From start to finish the experience was terrible. We had arrived for the record fair and didn’t get to the hotel till 10pm. We had 2 twin rooms booked and when we got them they told us because we got there late they’d given them to other customers. We were offered a change the next day. We had to pack our bags and leave them in a safe room and were told nobody else would be going in there. I didn’t realise but my little case of electric flosser was missing! It looked like a Smart Case so I take it, it was taken by a chancer. The breakfast was €15.50 and I’ve never seen such a bleak breakfast in my life. On the website it says it serves drinks till 11pm but on the first night we were told they didn’t have anyone to serve drinks. On the second day we couldn’t get drinks or food from 5pm as there was nobody able to serve us! There’s no food or drink venue within 2 miles so you have to drive or get a taxi. The rooms are old and a little dirty. Some of the towels had stains on them. From the outside it looks like a prison and doesn’t look much nicer from the inside. There’s no one at the hotel after 11pm and when we got back from a night out our key card would not working (happened twice) we had to call a number and wait 30mins for security to arrive to let us in. My advise to anyone coming to this great town is pay only a little extra and get a hotel nearer the town as you’ll be paying €18-20 each time to get there and everyone we spoke to will tell you this is the worst place to stay in this town.

    Uncanny

    rating31 Mar 2024

First: the personnel is very friendly and service oriented. Having said that: this hotel is located far from the city centre, it took 35 min by bus to get there. There is nothing in the neighbourhood, no supermarket, restaurants or anything. Moreover the rooms are located in a separate building and are more like tiny appartments. This building feels uncanny. Its more of a motel like you see in movies than a hotel room. The windows have metal shutters which adds to this feeling. The reception leaves at 23h and you are handed a number of security "in case anything happens". I am not scared easily but still didnt have a good sleep. Because of the blinds no ventilation was possible, even if you open the window (which can only be opened a tiny bit - again a sign of probably necessary security measures). The photo's on the website dont show how this building looks so I added some. Best option in town.

    rating14 Nov 2022

Best price/quality in town. Friendly and helpful staff. The best option if you’re looking for a small and cosy hotel. Not the modern or fancy kind is simple and with a great location. Good and flexible cooking. Wormed rooms and affordable breakfast. Campanile Den Bosch, General Manager at Campanile Hertogenbosch, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for your nice review and compliments to our staff. We hope to welcome you soon again at out hotel!Kind regards,Campanile 's-Hertogenbosch
