Start your morning hike, right from this comfortable get away amidst the Oisterwijkse Vennen and Kampina. Room was comfortable and on site restaurant has a nice meal selection.

I suppose average just about sums up this hotel. Some things were good - reception staff were friendly and efficient, bed was comfortable and it is in a quiet setting. What lets it down is the poor choice at breakfast (what is there is ok) and absence of staff to replenish as things run out. One guy in the kitchen seemed to be preparing food and topping up - needs more staff than this to keep on top of things. Also in the minus column is no tea or coffee making facility in the rooms - come on, this is 21st century. And finally, only had one evening meal in hotel as staff were not helpful, in fact quite surly, which is unusual for the Dutch. I was booked for a single room and had a decent size twin room. It was a bit gloomy due to trees outside but I accept that is the price of a really quiet room, away from any hustle and bustle. Bathroom was adequate but surprised that there was no soap dispenser in the shower, only shampoo. Soap dispenser was by hand basin and it would have been necessary to get out of shower to use soap dispenser. A plus for the hotel is that they’ve just constructed a new cycle storage shed, very large and when locked, very secure.There’s plenty of parking. Our group walked into the town most evenings (put off the restaurant in hotel by staff attitude), and this took about half an hour. In my view it would take very little to move this hotel from average to very good - hot drink facility in room, soap dispenser in shower, and improved method of selection of staff serving in the restaurant.

Stayed here for one night. Very hot without the window open. Opening the window caused a lot of mosquitoes. Luckily there were spiders in the corner of the room that ate some of the bugs. Shower was extremely small with dutch glass doors in the corner. It didn't work well. Food wasn't great. Beer I had was warm. All in all, definite no. Won't be staying here again.

I stayed here with my wife and adult daughter for four nights. We found it very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is surrounded by woods and lakes. As well as dining in the hotel we tried several of the restaurants next door to the hotel and in Oisterwijk. There is plenty to see in the neighbourhood, such as Kasteel Nemelaer, where we enjoyed delicious hazelnut meringues or the Loonse and Drunense Duinen landscape, a large area of sand-dunes. The car park leaves a lot to be desired, but otherwise a most enjoyable break.

Beautiful location in the woods. Feel good atmosphere in the lobby. Bar staff (a man and a girl) need professional training!Room OK but matrasses are narrow and not comfortable.Reception staff friendly, but charged with many additional tasks which require them to be away from their desk.
