    Beautiful location

    rating06 Nov 2025

The place is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. I didn't give a 5 star rating because we slept on 2 beds pushed together, which is very uncomfortable for a couple, and we were told in the reception that we would have had to request a different bed in advance and they were very limited. We really enjoyed our stay otherwise.

We stayed for one night as we had an event in Deurne. The room was very basic and not very clean. The room was quite small too.The breakfast was nice but we have had better in other hotels.

    Not the best!

    rating05 Aug 2025

Impressive building and impressive communal areas. Unfortunatley the rooms are not impressive. First room we were allocated was attached to the lift, and was very noisy, room very dated, stained carpets, broken blinds and poor general maintenance on the windows. We asked to move but at this point we were told the hotel was full. Upon asking later we were given a different room which was slightly better. Not the usual standard as other Fletcher Hotels we have used.

Disappointing rooms in a stunning hotel.

    rating31 Mar 2025

We stayed one night whilst travelling from the UK through Hook of Holland and down to Venice to catch a ferry to mainland Greece. We booked our accommodation last minute depending on how far we wanted to drive so chose this hotel as it seemed to be around an hours drive from disembarking the ferry. The hotel was impressive to start with, although a guest arrived seconds before us and took forever to check in. We were travel weary and desperate for the loo. Finally checked in and went to our room. How disappointing. The room was basic and beyond. Blood stained curtains and scuffs and marks on the walls. We were so tired we just wanted a drink, food, shower and bed.We went to the bar and waited and waited…. gave up and went to the restaurant where we finally managed to find someone to get a drink. We booked a table in the Bistro. Food was okay, average at best. Not much choice for a vegetarian. The communal areas of the hotel are stunning, and the history is something to behold. Such a shame that the rooms were like something out of a hostel.Breakfast was lovely.
