A comfortable stay in a friendly hotel

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for the Solheim Cup with Golfbreaks UK. The rooms were spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was very good with a big choice. We ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was OK but limited choice and service was slow. There are lots of superb restaurants nearby so if you’re staying here eat out in the evening.Bar staff were great and prices were reasonable for a hotel.One minor issue was that we had to raise the issue of our room safe 3 times. Each time they repaired but it failed again after each repair.That aside a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

Lacklustre and shabby

Everything seemed too much trouble. The first issue we all had were the pillows, they were more like big hard sofa cushions than bed pillows. There was a card in the room offering a pillow exchange but when we asked for one they said they didn't have any to exchange. The rooms weren't cleaned properly, toothpaste marks stayed in the sink, coffee cups stayed dirty and the coffee pods tasted old and stale. Nothing felt like a hotel, it was more like a b&b. Would we stay again, definitely not.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and close to town centre. Stayed here to visit family and couldn’t fault it. Breakfast and diner was brilliant. We will definitely back next time.

Cash stolen from our room

I never expected that my first trip to the Netherlands would end like this.While we were away at a music festival, someone entered our room and all of the cash from my wallet disappeared. After the hotel’s internal investigation, I was informed that someone had indeed entered our room while we were out. However, the hotel refused to tell me who entered, when it happened, or provide any meaningful explanation. They also declined to accept responsibility for what happened.To make matters worse, the safe in the room was not functioning properly—it kept beeping electronically and could not be closed at all. Additionally, our key cards had to be reprogrammed every single day because they constantly stopped working, which made the whole situation even more frustrating and concerning.I understand that hotels cannot always prevent every crime, but I do expect guests’ security to be taken seriously. Finding out that someone accessed my room and then being left without answers or any compensation is simply unacceptable.As an international tourist staying at a Holiday Inn, I expected a much higher standard of security and customer care. Instead, I was left feeling that my concerns were acknowledged but ultimately dismissed.I strongly recommend that anyone staying here avoids leaving valuables or cash in their room, regardless of whether they believe them to be secure.This experience completely ruined what should have been an unforgettable trip to the Netherlands.

Lovely city centre hotel.

The hotel is in a perfect city center location. Walkable distance to Philips stadium, etc. The rooms were large. Breakfast had good variety. The staff were very lovely and helpfull. The swimming pool was a welcome bonus.
