  80's hotel at it's worst

  The hotel was incredibly dated and staff were rude and inconsiderate. The surrounding area is not that enticing, typical inner city location near a railway station. Cheap restaurants, litter and generally not a place to go. I checked out early after 1 night (had planned 4) - this was at 6am, and only staff member to serve me was the security guard, and while he was the only staff member to actually care he had no idea how to print off receipt.   Disappointing Experience for a 4-Star Hotel.

  Disappointing Experience for a 4-Star Hotel. The overall experience was poor and fell well below expectations for a 4-star hotel. Room Cleaning: Service was only available upon request, resulting in three days without any cleaning. This appears to be a cost-saving measure disguised as a sustainability initiative. Breakfast: Very limited and underwhelming. Eggs were consistently overcooked, with no hot vegetables, mushrooms, or beans offered—far below the standard expected at this level. This was my fourth consecutive poor experience at this hotel in the past two years.

  Fantastic hotel, perfect location and great service - especially Rachel.

  We had excellent communication in advance of our visit to ensure we could book early check in for a very reasonable cost. Rachel was very helpful in not only responding to emails very quickly and also helping me with details of local hair salons as we were there for a party. The staff went over and beyond. They are hugely friendly and supportive. Location - we arrived after a very long journey and were pleased to see the hotel from the train station exit. Location is ideal, very close to the centre - walking distance. Rooms were a good size and showers excellent. We had great views from the 7th floor too. Excellent air con too. I haven’t stayed at Intercity before but won’t hesitate to stay in future.We didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Highly recommended.   I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my experience. The cleanliness was outstanding. The location is perfect, situated close to many key attractions and in front of the train station.The breakfast was delightful.However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the courtesy and professionalism of the staff. From check-in to check-out. They were always available, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made my experience truly memorable.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable, and high-quality stay.   Good Location, Good Value

  Intercity hotel is located very close to Enschede station.I managed to gain access to my room a couple of hours ahead of the official 3 o’clock check in time.My room was adequate for my needs. Decent bed, bathroom with shower but no tub and tea & coffee making facilities.The shower’s temperature was somewhat erratic but eventually hot water came through.I did not have breakfast but used the bar and had a couple of large Grolsch beers at a reasonable price.The staff were friendly and helpful.The cost was good too - just over £100 for a one night stay.
