Terribly unfriendly staff - not recommended!

    rating02 Jan 2026

Terrible service by the two staff members at check in. A few examples from the exchanges:-instead of a welcome, I received multiple complaints that I did not respond to an email in a foreign language I could not understand. I was told to translate it myself!-walking away in the middle of a conversation and not coming back after telling the staff member that he was speaking in an aggressive tone. -complaining about me loudly in the staff room, well within earshot-changed dinner times instead of the listed online times, with no effort made in serving dinner earlier, resulting in a major inconvenience when traveling with kids-condescending lecture about dutch customs and babys dying in beds when sleeping with blankets and pilows, despite having on relevance whatsoever to our situation-no apology for unacceptable customer service, no effort made towards having a friendly conversation-...-caution: extra fees may apply, despite not being mentioned anywhere (example baby bed). Payment is required at checkin instead of as usual at checkout!Lights in the bathroom turn on automatically when opening the door, resulting in everyone being wide awake when using the restroom at night. Sink is in the bedroom, meaning everyone wakes up while washing hands.Pipes in the bedroom are permanently loud, despite the heaters being turned off. Earplugs recommended. Not recommended!

The hotel is defintely value for money and I can really recomend it. Nice and clean room, comfortable bed and good breakfast. The area and surrounding are really beutiull and very perfect for for biketoursBut the hotel is not new and not moderniced, so if your looking for at 5 star modern hotel this should not be your option.

    Old infrastructure but clean

    rating01 Dec 2019

Stayed at the hotel for a night. Bedding was clean but the room itself felt old, and like it needed repairs and a makeover. Not really a place to sit in and relax. Advised to pack bathroom supplies like soap and toothpaste. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful. The village itself doesn’t have a full-size grocery store, so pack smart before visiting.

    Crappy rooms- terrible!!!

    rating12 Apr 2019

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The pros are the staff is very friendly and breakfast is decent. The area is absolutely gorgeous. The cons are too many to list. The rooms are small and horrible. The carpet looks like it’s 25 years old and indoor outdoor carpet. No pictures on the wall. The bathrooms are outdated and have the old toilet so when you go number #2 your stool sits there stinking up the entire room, trust me it’s terrible! Honest to God, I’ve seen army barracks that look better. The first room I stayed in I felt like I was staying above someone’s garage because the ceiling was so low. The floor in the hallways feel like you’re walking on paneling and creech when you walk down the hall. Don’t waste your time staying here.

Pleasant hotel for a few nights

    rating02 Jun 2018

Small hotel with a pretty breakfast room. rooms are basic, service is good. We could check in at half past one! The garden terras at the back has a wonderful view. Go next door for a nightcap, 'Tinus' has an excellent selection of Gulpener beers on draught. Free walking and cycling maps are available at the hotel, the tourist information in the village is closed.
