Perfect experience for a week end

Wonderful! Beautiful place, exquisit and various breakfast and really nice welcoming. I went with my boyfriend for one week end and we visited Maastricht that is only 30 mins in transports from the hotel. The diner was really good also and had a lot of choice. Love it!!!

My experience may only have been due to unfortunate circumstances but, the alarms went off for 20mins (around 8pm), I got woken up at 6.30am because walls are like paper, doors are not sealed and rooms are next to stairwell. I arrived at breakfast to find no staff and a coffee machine that looks like it’s in a area for public use… but is labelled differently. Also, for drivers… beware of the huge speed bump on the entrance to the road!

No parking available, parked at a public parking down the street. Reception said that was safe. Car was broken into that same night.Staff was apathetic at best.The door to the balcony is duct-taped and screwed shut. Room had no access to balcony but neighboring rooms do. When other guests speak, they are audible very clearly. Beds were worn out. No on-site staff after 10pm. An emergency number is provided but with the additional information that no staff will come to the hotel after 10pm. Boiled egg at breakfast was undercooked, scrambled eggs were overcooked. Awful experience, we checked out sooner than planned.

Decent hotel, 20 mins walk from the center

Decent hotel, nothing more nothing less. The rooms were rather small but we had a small terrace (to share with other rooms) so we could go outside to get some air. We only had breakfast as we were too late for diner reservation. There are different breakfast formulas, ranging from simple Dutch breakfast to a bit more exotic options, which could both be supplemented with some common things from the buffet. There is a separate handy storage for bikes, and a small but nice terrace to enjoy a cold La Trappe. Parking of the hotel is rather small, but the (paid) parking of the train station is not so far. Walk to the center of Valkenburg will take approx. 20 mins.
