This attractive hotel is located about 1.5 km from the famous city centre of Maastricht and the Maastricht Exhibition and Congress Centre (MECC). Located at the heart of Limburg's green countryside, the hotel is surrounded by numerous wonderful parks, and is situated within the historic triangle of Aachen, Liege, and Maastricht, and is therefore easily accessible by either car or public transport, which can be found in a few moments' walk (c. 300 m). It is also about 300 m to the railway station, while shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, and nightclubs are all to be found 1.5 km away in the city centre. Maastricht airport lies some 9 km from the hotel.

Good hotel outside of Maastricht centre

The Garner hotel in Maastricht is a very good hotel. The room was spacious with modern decor and comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the breakfast twice, it is a standard continental breakfast buffer, with lots of options. The hotel itself is very good, but the location is the main issue. To get to Maastricht centre, the most effective way was a bus, which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel or a 20 minute walk along the greenway.

Great location for a stadium event

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Garner Hotel Maastricht. Its excellent location, especially for events at the nearby stadium, and convenient on-site parking made our visit hassle-free.Our room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Breakfast offered a good range of hot and cold options, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay.What stood out most was the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. We appreciated the efforts to reduce single-use plastics in both the room and breakfast area, with practical measures that did not compromise comfort.A comfortable, well-located hotel with excellent service and a thoughtful approach to sustainability. We would happily stay again.

Far from Maastricht city center. Overpriced. Mediocre hotel. Bad experience during check in with Marvin..

There is nothing special about this hotel. The front office staff Marvin has some attitude during check in. He is arrogant, moody, and show no hospitality at all. Marvin need some more training, or more suitable to work behind desk where he has no interaction with customer. He should learn some hospitality from the fries vendors in Maastricht city center. The hotel is mediocre and overpriced. It is located outside Maastricht. It take 40 minutes walk from this hotel to be in the famous Maastricht city center. The hotel also has some bad interior design. I do not understand why this hotel can be part of IHG chain. It clearly does not meet IHG standards. I would recommend you to choose other hotels which are located in the city center, so you feel Maastricht atmosphere and hospitality. GARNER hotel is not a 4 star hotel, false advertisement!!!

The place is run down, lacking cleanness and amenities that a 4* property should have and then some. Archaic heating system that did not regulate the temperature and the room was uncomfortably warm, even with opened windows that only opened 4 inches… The carpets in the corridors and in the bedrooms were frayed and stained, walls scoffed. The baseboards were ripped off and the wall under was not repainted. The floor in the lobby badly scoffed and cracked, cheap furniture — the cabinets inside have holes instead of nobs. We found bug on the curtains. Peeping Tom pictures in the common bathrooms. No telephone!!!No advertised gym.No iron or ironing board.No washcloths or bath mat.No shampoo or hair conditioner.
