Really nice hotel, beautifully renovated, the bathroom is perfect and the new beds are so comfortable! Big rooms with balcony with a nice view of the forest.The swimming pool was also very nice.

Wary of booking with this hotel group again

Such a shame. We were delighted to receive gift cards for a two night Fletcher hotel stay. When we tried booking though there was no availability - anywhere! We phoned at international call rates and after long wait and this was confirmed. Nowhere was available in the Netherlands on the dates we’d booked flights for. Dissatisfied we emailed, were told to phone again and then offered a limited choice. We took this hotel as we knew the area and how nice it was. The whole booking experience left us frustrated and sceptical about Fletcher hotels commitment to customers with gifted cards. The hotel building itself is fine. The big problem was that there is no air con. Not so bad much if it’s cool but during hot weather - the room was like a sauna. The heat hit us as soon as we left the lift and walking into the room was just heart sinking. After asking at reception I was given a fan but recirculating hot air can only go so far. Little sleep either night we stayed which defeats the purpose of a hotel break in my book. The breakfast next morning was the most limited choice we’ve ever had in a hotel of this grade. No fresh juices only powered machine. No fresh fruit and most odd - no toast. Very strange and a long way from the usually expansive breakfasts most Dutch hotels pride themselves in. On the plus side, our evening meal was nice despite the restaurant suffering from a wasp infestation that meant we couldn’t dine outdoors to escape the heat. The staff were all pleasant and professional. What should have been a gift that brought joy was sadly spoiled by very poor administration and low investment in the hotel.

Worst hotel out of 4 we stopped in on the trip

On arrival was informed the rooms were not ready which was fine so went to the bar and had a drink. We were asked if we required food which we declined but asked about dining on the evening and were told they had an excellent menu and was given a copy where you scan the code and read.Went to check in later and was asked to pay the tax which i did 9 euros.Came back and enquired at the front desk about a table for dinner and was told it was full with no tables available at any time.As a guest its bad where we then have to go looking for a restaurant to eat.We did manage and upon return to the hotel the restaurant was quite with lots of tables available so maybe the staff just didn't want any more work. We ordered a drink from waitress and my dad asked for a famous grouse whisky which was on the list of drinks, No we don't have that we were told.Order a small beer a large beer and a coke.The small beer and coke arrived but the same waitress said i have no idea where the large beer went it was on the tray!off she went and 5 mins later i went in search of the beer and found it eventually.I asked reception about breakfast and was told we hadn't booked or paid for breakfast which i was sure i had but were charged a further 55 euros for. Good job you had a table available for that. But wasn't good the coffee was terrible. On departure i was told we had to pay the taxes but told the lady behind reception i had paid on arrival... No you only paid for 1 room.so another 3 euro.Are the staff just fed up over worked or just don't give a toss. On the trip we stayed at 4 hotels and this was the worst by far and would not recommend. Its tired and the staff don't care

Dreadful. Stained carpets, holes in the curtain which was hanging off, exposed wires on bedside lamps, shower filthy, no kettle, no fridge, humourless reception staff.And the view from our balcony was of two skips - hotel wasn’t full so surely a better room was possible. Restaurant food very average and expensive. Bar not open, so had drinks on the (unlit) terrace. Lovely views, away from the hotel itself. Left a day early as couldn’t stand another day. Reception staff didn’t query our early departure or ask whether we enjoyed our stay.. Won’t be back.

This is not a 4 star hotel. It’s a rather dated place and needs a refurb. The rooms are basic, no hot drink facility, no hand soap in bathroom, thin towels, old musty smelling carpet, small TV, doubled was two singles pushed together, no iron or ironing board. Service somewhat hap-hazard, dinner menu uninspiring but food was edible, breakfast buffet underwhelming. No bar unless you sit in the dining room, no atmosphere to speak of. Pool is OK.Location is a nice forested area and seemed popular with elderly couples. Not a place I would use again.
