    Very average place

    rating28 Oct 2025

Room was not heated and the thwarting didn’t work. The windows were slightly opened and the train lines were exactly in front of the window. When I approached the staff they told me they were sold out but I was able to book any room category at the same evening on their website and if you liked which windows were enlightened you barely saw half the rooms being used Overall really bad behaving front desk with no option offered. They even ignored my platinumnstatus with the chain. Hotel Manager, Owner at Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your opinion following your recent stay. We sincerely apologize that your experience fell short of expectations. Our rooms feature individual climate controls to ensure comfort, and we regret any misunderstanding regarding room availability during your stay. Our team provided a 50% discount on your stay as a token of apology and also asked if there was anything else we could do to rectify the situation. Although we value our Platinum members highly, please note that your reservation was made via a third-party platform. May you have any other questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us at any time.Kind regards,Natasja - Guest relations

    Great value, comfortable hotel

    rating21 Oct 2025

A great location 10 minutes walk from downtown and right next to the main railway station for this comfortable hotel. In fact, one side of it literally overlooks the station platforms, so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to ensure your room’s on the other side. Everything works, everything is spotlessly clean and staff are pleasant. Breakfast (€22) is ok though perhaps not the best ever. There’s a workstation, fridge, safe and coffee maker in the room, and my bed was comfortable. Downstairs there’s a bar and a small shop selling snacks and supplies. For the money, overall I thought it was excellent value. Hotel Manager, Owner at Mercure Hotel Nijmegen Centre, responded to this review Dear Guest, Thank you so much for this excellent review. We are thrilled you found excellent value in your experience at Mercure Nijmegen Centre.Your praise for our spotless facilities, well-maintained rooms and attentive team motivates us to maintain these standards daily. Our colleagues particularly appreciate your kind words about their service. We're delighted our central station location provided easy access to explore Nijmegen's historic charm. The coffee maker and workstation in your room reflect our aim to blend convenience with comfort for productive stays. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Best regards,Natasja - Guest relations
