Fantastic hotel completely under rated

Location disappointing, which of course is not the hotels fault. Lots of rubbish, dogs fouling on the grass, so stick to the path. You can park outside but have to pay per hour, which is not cheap. You can reserve a parking space in the hotel garage before hand at €25 a night, plus €50 deposit for the key. Please note you can't park in your allocated space until 15.00 hours. It would have been nice if you arrived early to be at least be able to park.Hotel close to the train station. 10 minute walk to Jumbo supermarket (no parking). In my opinion this hotel is under rated. Once you go through the doors it is stunning. The social areas are beautiful. The decoration is outstanding with lots of attention to detail. Reception is a whole different ball game. The lady I dealt with (appeared to be the one in charge) was cold, unfriendly and needs to learn how to host properly. No hello, no welcome, just where is your identification!!!The other Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 9th floor with a beautiful view of Rotterdam, especially at night. Our room was huge, larger than expected. Fantastic shower room. Huge comfortable bed, with luxury pillows. Plenty of space, nice and quite. TV, free Internet, fast WiFi. Hotel drinks ate expensive as expected as is the restaurant.

Terribly disappointed to report that my wedding ring that holds huge sentimental value to me was stolen by cleaning staff. I am angry and completely devastated by this.

This hotel chooses policies over people. No effort, no solutions, no respect for the guest. A perfect example of how not to handle customers.

During my husband’s stay, a member of reception staff had an inappropriate relationship with him, which directly affected my family.This should never happen in a professional setting. It raises serious concerns about staff conduct and boundaries.
