Location

The hotel has easy access to the Rijnhaven metro stop, which provides easy access to the centre of Rotterdam, some 2 km away. The Ahoy is less than 4 km away and Amsterdam - Schiphol Airport is about 65 km away.

The hotel has 7 suites, 8 single rooms and 246 double rooms, which are located on 13 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. In some rooms, a terrace provides additional space for relaxation. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including cycling/mountain biking, a gym and yoga. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a café and a bar. Half board is offered as a catering option. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. For guests, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included.

    I had a great time. I stayed here to see the old ship I cruised on several times as a young teenager. My first cruise was on the ship at 13. As a hotel, they have done a nice job with some necessary renovations like the Captains Lounge on main deck which was not there when it was a cruise ship and renovation of the Lido. The rooms were updated in the bathrooms. The tours were great. I would recommend adding the former galley if it is still there to the below deck tour and crew mess and crew bar. I had to leave very early and they called a taxi for me. No issues. Great time.     We had an excellent stay here for 4 nights. We had a basic room with a high up set back porthole so couldn’t actually see out of it. It was quite spacious with lots of storage space/cupboards. The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was a reasonable size with nice tiles and an efficient shower. Toiletries were good and plentiful. The ship was extremely well preserved and looked after with lots of original features. The public areas were very stylish. The tour of the ship was interesting and informative. There is a discount for residents. Breakfast was excellent with lots of food choices. There was a lovely choice of breads plus cheese, meats and fruit. Cooked items were not very hot though. The omelettes had limited options for fillings and you had to wait a while as there was often no one there. Dinner was available in the Lido Grill or the Club Room, both were very good. The bar was buzzing with a good atmosphere in the evening sometimes with live music. The staff were friendly and helpful especially at the Reception Desk. The car park was close to the ship but there was nowhere to drop off luggage at the entrance. There were no porters and we were not aware that we could use the trolleys to get to the car park and our bags were heavy. There was a shuttle bus service from the ship to the nearest metro station which was frequent and efficient but not mentioned on the website so we were not aware of it.     Beautiful location, the escape room had fun puzzles, but there were some issues with the service. The host was friendly, but the restaurant was disappointing. There were few options for people with allergies, the steak was way overcooked even though I ordered medium rare, we had to wait a long time for our drinks, and one dish didn't arrive until everyone else had finished eating. They did apologize and we received a free drink, but far too late.

    ⭐☆☆☆☆Christmas Dinner – Complete Operational Failure and No Follow-UpWe booked the 5:00 pm Christmas Day dinner, the very first service of the evening, and what followed was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had — especially considering the €194 price tag.Service was completely disorganised from start to finish. Water was requested four times and was never properly served — in fact, we still did not have water when we left, despite spending over €50 on drinks, including a very average bottle of wine.There was no English menu, and although the waitress spoke fluent English, she refused to explain the dishes. I had to rely on an online translation tool simply to order.Courses were served in a chaotic and unacceptable order:Starters arrived during the apéritifSoup was brought while we were still eating the starterMain courses arrived before the soupDesserts were served before the mainsStaff openly admitted they did not know what had already been served and were simply delivering plates at random.Food quality and presentation were equally poor:Duck rillettes were served without breadSoup arrived in a dirty, spilled bowl, with uneven portions and no breadThe venison main course contained an almost nonexistent amount of meatDessert was of extremely poor quality and largely uneatenTo make matters worse, a “free” glass of cava advertised as included was charged separately (€6.50 plus tax). Staff were also unable to identify the dessert they were serving — even after consulting a manager — despite it being a set menu with only one dessert, served repeatedly throughout the day. This alone highlights a serious lack of training and organisation.This was not a festive meal; it was a stressful, chaotic experience that completely ruined our Christmas evening.Update: I sent a formal email to management requesting a refund and a response. After two days, I have received no reply whatsoever. This silence only reinforces the impression that customer satisfaction — even after a disastrous Christmas service — is simply not a priority here.At this price point and for a Christmas service, this level of disorganisation and indifference is simply unacceptable.Not recommended.
