Samoan Owners bad behaviour and her charging for an inedible aubergine dish

    rating04 Oct 2025

Great, friendly staff. My aubergine dish was uncooked. I returned it and replaced it with macaroni cheese (a safe dish). At the till the older Samoan lady charged me for the offending dish, and refused to remove the charge. She was extremely rude about it. Yelling at a customer and turning her back on me was unacceptable. I do not recommend this establishment any longer. A regular for 14 years is absolutely disgusted with Ramona's, loud, unprofessional, childish and dismissive behaviour. Not recommended

Comfortable and clean room, free parking, nice pub downstairs... decent place to spend the night while exploring the area.

    "A Complimentary Downgrade—A First!"

    rating16 Nov 2024

We’ve stayed at this motel before (Room 2), and while our first experience was less than stellar, we decided to give it another shot. This time, we booked a non-refundable rate, snagging a second-floor room with a renovated bathroom. Or so we thought.Arriving at 2:20 PM (check-in starts at 2:00), we were informed that our room had been generously donated to someone else because they were "full." Funny, I thought booking in advance meant you actually reserved a room, not entered a game of musical chairs. And so, back we went to the infamous Room 2—ground floor, directly across from the pub entrance. It's basic to the point of parody. The mattress is as supportive as a disgruntled co-worker, but at least I had my own pillow, the true MVP of the stay. The bathroom had its own unique charm. The aroma wafting from the sink pipe could probably be bottled as “Eau de Plumbing Nightmare.” We quickly learned to keep the plug closed to preserve what dignity remained. And the shower? Let’s just say "Cell Block 2" may as well be its official name. For $165 a night, we hoped for a bit more than a trip down memory lane to Room 2. While we can appreciate the consistency of the experience, it’s probably not the kind they’re aiming for. Unfortunately, after this stay, we’re not sure we can return—booking in advance shouldn’t feel like rolling the dice.

Okay accommodation option but could do with attention

    rating25 Jan 2023

Motel accommodation, well located and rooms good size. However lots of small things would improve the experience- amenities in the room near to nothing, and some maintenance required on cracks in window, toilet. Power points inaccessible and power boards would help that. Bed comfortable and while no outlook, rooms airy

    Not suitable for sleeping

We had a room booked for two nights and couldn't leave fast enough after the first miserable night. The owners don't seem to care about the hotel side of their business as we got no warning of the dance party that pounded away until midnight and we couldn't even find or contact the manager or any sort of customer service before we left. Cleaning staff said they'd get the manager to contact us, but that never happened. What a scam, drive the customers out after one night so they can rent it out again with no refunds and make twice the money. Even if you were to visit on a quiet night, there's nothing all that jice about the rooms, they don't even have ac or heat. It's a real shame because the restaurant side seems well run and the location is nice. Just don't be fooled by any combined restaurant and hotel ratings, this was the worst place we've stayed in the last 10-20 years.
