Located at the corner of the main road and Tarndale Place, the hotel is only 15 minutes' easy walk to Hanmer Springs and is close to many top-notch cafés and bars.

The motel has 18 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     We booked here as we had stayed in other Best and Wests around the country. The bonus is its pet friendly which is what we were looking for. The Room was shabby but clean and warm the biggest let down being we couldn't lock the door from the outside. Brought it to the Motel Manager's attention and i was told it wasn't a new problem and to wiggle the key around until it worked. We couldn't get it to work at all. which meant we couldn't leave our belongings in the room while we looked around Hanmer shops or went to the pools.

    Great apartment, with great facilities and plenty of space. Our son loved the fact that they had a basketball court, tennis court etc with equipment provided. Also excellent laundry facilities and super helpful owners. The Motel is well situated and we would definitely recommend to others.

    Stayed here with son, daughter-in-law and two teenage grandchildren who desperately needed wifi. Julie very kindly allocated the vacant room’s quota to us to accommodate the teenagers. I have stayed here on numerous occasions since 2011 and have always enjoyed a warm, friendly service from both Steve & Julie. For this reason it is my honour to recommend their facility to anyone looking for clean, warm and welcoming accommodation.

    The motel is on the outskirts of Hanmer Springs township (and thus deafeningly quiet except for birdcalls), and pretty much within a short drive or biking distance, your choice, probably not within walking distance to town centre. The motel is clean, particular mention must be made of the motel owners who are really nice people, it’s a pleasure to stay there. The rooms face the scenic mountains and the valley. I will remember the room for its disproportionately large (size for the room) and well-equipped bathroom, which is not what you expect to see in motels, :-), with a fancy shower-dome with forceful jet of water (ranging between piping hot to icy cold 24 hours) and expensive soap and shampoo on the shower stands.Downside: the room we selected was small and did not have a table and set of chairs, and did not have a veranda where you can relax, etc. It’d be nice if it had a few car charging pods or facility to charge electric vehicles (that’s pretty much it, they didn’t bother us, not deal breaker for us anyway). Overall: top of average range. Good value for money. Recommended.
