Facility

139 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. We stayed here from rural canterbruy to enjoy a weekend in the city to celebrate a birthday. From the welcoming check in, to a room upgrade, to the exceptionally clean room and facilities including an extremely well maintained pool we couldn't fault a thing. A beautiful hotel that we had underestimated many times driving past. We had a wonderful time and the check out staff also were fantastic and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back.

This is totally the BEST EVER hotel I've ever stayed at on all levels. We don't travel much because we are reasonably low budget but 9 years ago I went to Europe with my son for a fundraised opera singing tour. I stayed in some pretty fancy hotels and this hotel here completely trumps all of them. We're talking the big chains in the major cities like Vienna and London. We are here because my daughter is traveling to Australia for para-athletics and she's only young. We needed a place to stay so that she can rest before we go and another for when we get back. We have found this hotel is SUPER impressive and I would highly recommend it to all who need luxury accommodation but not over the top prices. The room was fabulous, the service was second to none and the facilities and restaurant were just perfect. Thank you so much Michael Patterson and your team for the stay and we look forward to staying again when we get back. We will definitely be using this facility again.

I remember humming and hawing re what hotel to stay in prior to our very early departure- I am so very glad that I landed on this one in the end in that it capped off a very pleasant trip to New Zealand- as others have noted, excellent and attentive staff, comfortable room (I loved the shower!) and a country club feel to the place with the pool, tennis and basketball courts. The shuttle service was excellent and comfortable (and, yes, left at 3:30 a.m). We also had drinks and ate at the restaurant (Sami was wonderful!) and as others have noted as well, the food is excellent. I would also note that the airport is within easy walking distance (I had to drop off the campervan right near the airport and was able to walk back in 20 minutes along the sidewalk- note that the hotel had volunteered to pick me up but I wanted the exercise!).
