Location

Located in the iconic and picturesque Cathedral Square, just across from the Christchurch Cathedral, this city hotel is in the heart of the city with all that the central business district has to offer for attractions, shopping and entertainment. Guests will find Hagley Park, the Botanical Gardens and museums all around 1 km from the hotel and Brighton Beach is approximately 10 km away. Christchurch International Airport is roughly 12 km from the hotel.

Facility

179 rooms, including 10 junior suites, 7 suites and 153 double rooms, are located on 11 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     Our room was lovely! Lots of room with 2 comfy chairs and a table between to relax with your morning coffee or a glass of wine before dinner. The beds are not too soft and not too firm, with nice crisp white sheets!! The room has lovely decor and was equipped with an iron, hairdryer, and fluffy towels!The desk staff were very welcoming every time we entered the Hotel.Breakfast was varied and had gluten free options. We had dinner in the restaurant. The meal was delicious and well presented on the plate. We had made a reservation for 6 pm, ordered a glass of wine and were told we needed to order our dinner “asap” as “there was a large group coming in”. Our meal was tasty, but we did feel rushed and maybe a bit not appreciated.

    Had two separate nights here on a group tour. Nice breakfast. Good location. Some rooms overlook the cathedral that is still being repaired years after the earthquake. Several places nearby for eating and drinking.Tram fun’s close by

    This is a great hotel- well situated near the tram line and city centre. The service is excellent and the food is very good and well presented. From a personal perspective, I am very grateful and impressed with the service I have received with the return of lost property from this hotel. The hotel manager Scott Wallace very kindly posted my lost property to the UK.     Lovely Hotel close to the old tram line. Rooms were well appointed, good food offering too. Attentive, friendly and helpful staff, in particular John Khambo and Amy Farrell who both helped me with my plans for visiting Christchurch, I’d definitely stay again.
