    We had a lovely stay here before catching the train the next morning. The room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the train station. The decor is simple, but we stayed here for the ease of getting to the train. The staff were outstanding, very friendly and helpful (in spite of me not grasping things at first). They also arranged a transfer to the train station most helpful. For entertainment, you could access Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix and YouTube on the smart tv. Would certainly stay here again.

    The staff are lovely and are the only reason this is not a one star review. We walked into the room and the sun had made the room become 40 degrees C. There is no cooling, just a pedestal fan in a cupboard. Not a problem but this cost me $150NZD per night!!

    Back again to try the train journey to Greymouth.

    Two nights altogether, with a trip in between to Greymouth on the Tranzalpine train. The second night was reminisce of 15 years ago when we stayed in exactly the same unit. Unfortunately we couldn't get on the (steam) train that time in 2010 as we woke up to the rocking of the first earthquake there!Prince picked us up from the Airport and took us back to Christchurch Airport and also at our request drove us into the city on the 18th Oct. after we had settled into our room. It was my husband's birthday. Prince also took us to and from the Tranzalpine train (complimentary) which made it easy for us and it's one of the closest Motels to the Railway Station if that's what you're looking for. The king-size beds are a plus and everything in the units is nice and clean.Highly recommend.

    We got a very friendly welcome from owner Prince who helped get our bags to our first floor roomLovely set up with a separate bedroom, well set up bathroom and kitchen and comfortable living room with an easy to use tv!Short walk to shops and cafes and also the railway station for trans alpine trips.We recommend Tower Junction Motor Lodge and have already rebooked for our next trip to Christchurch

    We arrived kind of late but there was still someone at the front desk for a quick/efficient check in. It was rainy super hard but he was still really nice to show us where our room was. The room was very clean and updated. Very good kitchen amenities. Quiet.
