Sky TV and car park size

    rating12 Feb 2026

We we booked we looked at the web site and asked Google if they had Sky. It said yes as we wanted to watch the Olympics. When questioned they advised they did not which was extremely disappointing and misrepresentation The other matter is that the car parks are too narrow when larger vehicles park. My car received s sent in the front wheel arc

    Fantastic Place

    rating17 Oct 2025

Fantastic location and incredibly spacious room, great little kitchen and large living area that's really well set up so it's separate to the bed area, two things let it down, bathroom and toilet were incredibly outdated and desperately in need of refurbishment, I have not seen shower like that since soviet Russia where you have to step down into a minuscule bath to shower and no ventilation, door also opens onto street so people can see in (from living area) but that is only minor compared to the whole layout as it is built to resemble a lodge with timber everywhere, owners also very friendly and helpful and it's right in the middle of everything and right beside a New World

Not the best stay, nights sleep, or shower - do able

    rating30 Apr 2025

Stayed here in April 2025 with a friend (in our mid 30's) for one night after doing the Roy's Peak hike (which was nice as it was only about a 10-15 min drive away). Check in was easy and staff was friendly. The stay in the hotel was alright. Glad we were only here for the night though. Beds were okay. The shower pressure was not good and the drainage was not good either. The hotel seems to be older and quite creaky and also could hear people all around (not that the people were loud, just that the hotel walls were thin and old). Hotel room was clean, just older. Tea/coffee and kettle provided which was nice.

    Unaspiring

    rating15 Mar 2025

If you aspire for a good night’s sleep, forget it!!Shower control is interesting. The hotter you want the water, the faster it comes. To get a shower at the right temperature, you get a very weak flow.Nice old 70’s vibe but loud cracking noises throughout the night prevent sleep.I really depends on how much you want to spend to get any sleep.

It was ok for the price! But definitely needs updating

    rating15 Mar 2025

It was ok, dated but comfortable. The whole place is very dated but was fairly clean. We didn’t seemed to have a room the creaked but friends had an end room and said it was very creaky! We had room 9 upstairs. We expected it to be noisy being a very busy weekend in wanaka with the A and P Show on but it wasn’t. All and all it was ok for the price but wouldn’t pay any more . Had everything we needed and the shower was excellent!
