    Sarah is the greatest

    rating27 Mar 2026

Sarah is the most amazing worker ever. If the terminator made maids, they would make Sarah. I was in a bunkhouse with a bunch of dirty hippies, and she kept the place perfectly clean. I'm not sure where she is from, but I suspect it is heaven.

    Stay literally anywhere else

    rating09 Mar 2026

Im in queenstown 2-3 times per year for the last decade and this is without a doubt the worst accommodation Ive ever stayed. $640 for 2 nights in a private double room. There is a heatpump in the room, but guests do not have access to use it, the room heater is operated only by reception, and so at 4.30am when the dawn temperature drops you are required to download their specific app, and login and contact reception to ask if they will please turn on the heat. The most expensive 2 nights of cold discomfort ive had the displeasure of enduring. The room itself is perfectly adequate, and had a nice balcony and view, and is a good location. Aimee J, at Nomads Queenstown Hostel, responded to this review Hi there,Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback — we genuinely appreciate it, especially from someone who visits Queenstown regularly. We’re really sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations, particularly around the heating in your room. We understand how important comfort is, especially during colder early mornings, and it’s disappointing to hear this impacted your experience. Our heating system is centrally managed, and while this is designed to maintain a consistent temperature across the property, we recognise that it doesn’t always suit individual preferences or changing overnight conditions. Your feedback is incredibly valuable here, and we’re currently reviewing how we can improve accessibility and responsiveness for guests. We have a 24/7 reception as well as access available via the app to adjust this. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the room itself, along with the balcony, views, and location — but we know that doesn’t make up for an uncomfortable stay.If you’re open to it, we’d really appreciate the chance to speak with you directly and make this right. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@nomadsqueenstown.com, and we’ll do our best to turn this experience around. Thanks again for your honest feedback — it helps us improve.Nomads Queenstown Team

    Happy

Amazing atmosphere!! as a solo traveller during peak season finding accomidation last minute can be an absolute nightmare for the staff and the traveller ( especially one that doesn't plan in advance )I do a lot of impromptue travel and am very seasoned at the ole sorry we are full ( insert puppy dog eyes )I am used to the process by now, and normally someone ends up feeling stressed or anxious. NOT WITH RACHEL @ Nomads Queenstown . No puppy dog eyes needed, fully booked understandable, Local advice and a cheerful conversation later.... off to the bar for a cold beer and a hot meal not a care in the World, Thanks Rachel I'll plan better next time....aha Yeah Right ;) Aimee J, at Nomads Queenstown Hostel, responded to this review Hi there,Thanks so much for the awesome review — we love this!Queenstown in peak season can definitely be a challenge, so it’s great to hear Rachel was able to turn what could’ve been a stressful situation into a positive experience. That’s exactly the vibe we aim to create — even when we’re fully booked, every guest should still feel looked after and part of the Nomads experience. We’ll be sure to pass this on to Rachel — she’ll be stoked!Next time you’re back (planned or not 😉), we’ll do our best to get you sorted with a bed as well as the beer and good times.Safe travels and see you again soon,Nomads Queenstown Team

Chris the night guy is awesome.Honest review: small rooms but cozy. Lots of different nationalities dtaying here which was nice.It feels like a camp, lots of young people and very chill. Its in a neat location and as long as you pack some earplugs sleeping isnt a problem.Would recommend for someone who needs a budget stay and of course someone looking to meet new peopleGood work
