    Clean, basic motel. Some rooms are upstairs. No outdoor seating at our room but there are big tables in the garden. Short walk to Woolworths and Farmers, and some eateries - Subway, sushi, India, Italian, etc. A lovely spa bath.

    We were a group of 11 so had a mixture of rooms. The access studio units don't have a kitchen sink but the staff are happy to do all the dishes for you. The 2-bedroomed unit - no 7 - was very large - in need of a bit of a spruce up. No 5 - 1 bedroom family unit - was great. Beds comfortable, good showers; good kitchen facilities. The railway station just across the road. And there was a lovely courtyard with tables and umbrellas in the middle area of all the rooms

    We had a comfortable stay at this motel for the second time in 15months. Although somewhat dated and in need of a refresh,our room was very comfortable and clean except for our shower curtain on the first morning which was really quite badly marked and had turned pink. I’m sure this was an oversight in this instance. As an airb&b cleaner I’m sure I may have made an error before! This was changed by housekeeper for the second night. We were happy with this!Very handy for buses and railway station!

    "The Best Motor Lodge" on The Kapiti Coast

    What a great place to stay...it has everything you would like to have in a motor lodge.Very clean...more than we expected. This is reasonable for price, close to shopping, activities, relaxing, quiet, and had extras like a spa bath. NO negatives for this well run motor lodge...had the little extras...yep sweets at the office even. Would book and stay again

    The most appalling customer service I have ever experienced! Room 5 reeked of fish and despite airing remained uninhabitable. Proprietor was incredibly rude, dismissive and denied any issue and did nothing to remedy situation. Would not even partially refund the two night stay. Lovely housekeeping staff had tried for 2 weeks to eliminate smell but to limited avail. Ended up bunking in with family in another room. Great location however would not recommend based on principle.
