Location

The hotel enjoys a prime location at the top of the Terrace with panoramic views over the city and harbour. This hotel is an easy walk from the Cuba Quarter, funky boutiques, shops and famous Wellington attractions such as Te Papa Museum, the Waterfront and the theatre district. Wellington International Airport is situated approximately 60 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 3 lifts and features 111 rooms and 7 suites. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Services such as a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Children can enjoy the playground. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a king-size bed. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included.     Great hotel with outstanding staff

    This is a great hotel. Its biggest asset is the staff. I spent almost 3 months in this hotel and entire staff was great and friendly. Big shout out to John, Alina and Sharma - thank you for your hospitality, all help and making me feel very important when I stayed with you.

    What a fabulous hotel. Beautiful lobby, very welcoming staff.     We loved the Movenpick so much that we'll now be staying there every time we go to Wellington. It's a super convenient location for wallking around the city. The rooms absolutely gorgeous. And the staff always go above and beyond (the chef even made us something for brekkie when we'd missed it through our own dumb mistake!)The outlook from our room was lovely and we even saw beautiful Kaka flying around out there!It's also priced really well for the top tier service you get.     This was our first stop in New Zealand. We were upgraded to a larger room. The sitting room was really handy.Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff lovely.Location was interesting - in the middle of a residential area, up on a hill.It is walking distance to most places - but there is a hill to go down and back up!!
