Great location. HORRIBLE BED. Unbelievably uncomfortable. They ended up trying a mattress topper which didn’t help much. The soap dispenser in shower was broken.

Great location, very tired definitely needs decor update, lounge suite had blankets over them hiding worn leather, rooms were tidy. Good one night stay.

Entrance through Lambton Quay is not recommended. The ground floor is used by a seedy looking Travelex booth and the lobby area reeks of despair. Better to use the entry from the Terrace side. I am unsure how much longer the lift will continue to work. It groaned in an ominous tone and creaked more than my back. The apartment looked like it had not been maintained since it was first fitted out many years ago. Furnishings and walls were old, worn out and dishevelled. Carpet was stained in places. I did not want to walk on it barefoot. A suspicious looking cover had been thrown over the sofa seat. I did not have the courage to look under it to find out why. Windows were dirty. Bathroom was just adequate but had clearly seen a lot of action. On the plus side, a good amount of space and lots of hot water in the shower. Hopefully killing off some of the mould before it could escape. At least I now know why it was cheaper than the other Quest properties in the same area. You live and learn.

Our group of three had booked elsewhere via a third party for one night (to attend WOW) and were moved to Quest on Lampton (something about a leak). This was NOT a like-for-like swap, by a long shot! The 2 bedroom apartment we were given had badly stained carpets, worn/cracked leather couches covered in blankets, curtains hanging down with multiple broken hooks, dirty appliances, filthy windows and a weird wet room bathroom reminiscent of a long-closed hospital wing. We asked to be moved and the receptionist advised that all of the two bedroom apartments were like this. We still asked to view another, which was (a) miraculously available and (b) marginally cleaner than the last. Also minus the weird wet room. We chose to move. I don’t believe this establishment was value for money and I would not recommend. It’s dated, grubby and in bad need of renovation.
