    Who needs luxury when the Marion fills all necessary accommodation needs.

    My sister and I had the pleasure of spending just one night at the Marion.We have stayed here before and know the layout and expectations.We have ALWAYS enjoyed our time at the Marion, but this one was the best by far.Of course it is a Hostel, so the rooms are intended only for quiet , rest or sleep, It is close to any action that is on at the time, and this night was the first of the Cubadupa Festival in Cuba Street - a short 15min walk away ( for us as we are old) but much shorter for the young.The facilities at the Marion are top knotch, kept clean and user friendly, plenty of shower and toilet options, a very roomy kitchen, plenty of places to sit for meals, a chat, or a quiet moment.There are luggage areas for those who have checked out but need just a few hours before exiting.There were even pancakes made for all and any who were there !What a wonderful wake up call.Recommended for young and old.:)

    What can I say. This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Unfortunately I would like to keep this quiet as I would hate this place to become too popular as I would like to stay again this year and would hate it to be fully booked !!. It is a fantastic place to stay. Clean , helpful staff, ideally situated, mega comfortable beds . For my benefit please keep away from!!!!!!

    Nice stay in the Marion hostel. Everything is clean. There is a nice kitchen. Also a great living room. The staff is very helpful and kind. The hostel has a good place in the city centre, near the main streets. I really recommend this hostel if you go in Wellington

    I stayed in the Marion Hostel for 3 nights and i have to confirm the others reviews..probably one of the best hostels not only in NZ but anywhere. Not only the building and facilities that are just so comfortable and made to have a wonderful stay but the Team there! The make you feel at home and pay attention to every detail. Belen was just the best! Always with a smile ready to help, making fresh coffee in the morning..i was wondering if she ever gets to rest because she is always helping you! Definitely i will stay here again with no doubt! Congratulations for such a great lovely place to host travelers!     Stayed 3 nights in a female dorm and have to agree with other reviews, it's a v good hostel. Just feels quality - solid bunks with privacy curtains and big under bed locking drawers, a beautifully converted building, several tv/chill rooms, social activities scheduled regularly, reliable water heat and pressure in the showers, super location near everything (except perhaps the intercity bus drop off - but just hop a bus for that), laundry room, bikes to use...the list goes on.
