From the moment we arrived, the staff at this hotel has been warm, accommodating and generous in sharing their local knowledge. Beautiful common areas, an adequate gym space, and an ideal location make this an easy hotel to recommend. From dinner reservations, to tickets to a Grieg concert, every request was met.

Fantastic Hotel in Bergen our favourite so far.

Lovely high quality hotel centrally located in BergenWe had a fantastic spacious junior suite overlooking the harbour area. Breakfast was superb and very relaxing even at busy times. Much better than a few other hotels in Bergen we have stayed at.Overall our favourite hotel in Bergen so far. We travel to visit our son who lives and works in Bergen.

We traveled for a few weeks through Scandinavia. The service throughout our stay was so personable and excellent…with the exception of the Bergen Bors. We understand that there was possibly;a hotel strike in process which could explain the skeleton staff. We checked in and no one told us a single thing about the hotel. We had no help with our luggage and the hotel has many steps throughout…even when you use the elevators. A bummer in an otherwise flawless trip

Small Inadequate Rooms

I describe the rooms as boys college room in need of renovation. Very small. Tiny bathrooms with showers without a door resulting in water throughout the bathroom floor. Electric outlets under the beds(!). We had to get housekeeping to connect converters. Side bed light could not be switched off and needed to be unplugged by staff. This review applies only to the room.staff was excellent. Breakfast was good.

Perfect location and perfect little hotel

We had a girls trip to Bergen from the US during the tourist off season. Very cute. It looks like a fairy tale hotel and the dining area where they serve breakfast and dinner is stunning The room was a nice size for the two of us that stayed in the room. Great hot shower and good sized bathroom. Very relaxed but efficient staff. They loaned us umbrellas when it rained, they called taxi service for us when we were going to the train, said hello everytime we came and went. It is also in the center of everything in Bergen tourism. Several restaurants are within two blocks including the fresh seafood market right on the water. The pier is across the street for getting fjord day trip cruises. The tourism center is right across the street and helped us book some trips. The small grocery store is a block away. It's a great spot.
