Location

131 rooms, including 78 single rooms, are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available.     Ver nice hotel visit spoilt by noise on our first night.

    One the first night of our stay at the hotel there were 2 weddings and the noise in our room was so bad it was like being in a disco. We complained regarding this and were provided with an alternative room which unfortunately was near the other wedding and the noise although not as loud continued until 2am and we were not able to get any sleep prior to the disco ending which was not good as we were out the following morning for the early ferry. On the second day of our stay we came down for breakfast at 9.30 and by that time there was virtually no hot food and only limited cold buffet items.The hotel itself was really good with very helpful staff in a convenient location just opposite the railway station and very near the town centre

    The Grand Hotel Terminus is a great place to stay on a weekend in Bergen. hotel is located on a walking distance from all major places in Bergen.Breakfast was excellent. A buffet breakfast with a wide selection of cold of warm dishes. If something is finished, just ask one of the staff member and they will fill it in.In the weekend breakfast is served until 10:30 am, which give you sufficient time to enjoy it.We had a standard room and there is no way around it, the room was small. No coffee or thee making facilities and there is barely any place to store your belongings. The bathroom had a good size, though. We weren't in the room much, so the size of the room didn't stop us from enjoying the room or the hotel as a whole. We slept well, although the matras was slightly soft for my taste.

    I strongly suggest you select an other hotel if you have not yet booked this one. We arrived and there was a line up of 6+ people to check in. One person working and 2 others just talking to each other but not helping. Waited 30 minutes to get up elevator as bus arrived as we were going to room. Rooms have not been updated in 30 years. Old furniture, lights not working and our main light missing a bulb. But it gets worse. At night the music started playing for a wedding and went on well past midnight and no way you could sleep. Clearly the value the revenue from the party over guest comfort. I honestly am at a loss how this could be a 4 star hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else in town

    The hotel is in a great location next to the station and in easy walking distance of the harbour area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely meal and drink in The Amundsen restaurant. The breakfast was really great with plenty of choice. The room was basic and a bit noisy as the soundproofing isn’t great but didn’t detract from our stay.

    The hotel is lovely. The bar in particular was great at night to just chill with a great cocktail. The staff were all great, friendly, helpful, thoughtful. The room was overlooking the station but quiet, large and well equipped. No issues whatsoever, a very comfortable stay. Good breakfast too. Location is an easy walk into the harbour area.
