    Overpriced Air B&B masquerading as a Hotel

    We booked this overpriced hotel in the heart of Bergen for a two night stay while driving Norway on vacation. The location of the hotel is perfect. Central Bergen. The front desk gentleman is both friendly and extremely helpful. The lobby is nice. Sadly, this masks what is deeper inside. The rooms were extraordinarily basic. Daily cleaning service is not given unless specifically requested. Shampoos and soaps empty. The safe in the room had a giant decal on it marked broken. The room had no temperature control and was both stuffy and hot. No windows could be opened making it impossible to make any correction. Parking, like many places in Norway, is the responsibility of the guest. I would not have submitted this review had this “hotel” been a reasonably priced lodging stay. It was not. We paid nearly $250 US a night for this room. A mistake we would not likely make again. Seek out better accommodations.     Hotel No 13 is in an excellent location in the heart of town, with easy walk to the airport tram, Bryggen Unesco district and Funicular ride as well as the towns ferry terminals.     A very nice hotel at a strategic location in Bergen. It is easily reachable from the train stop or bus stop, and is within walking distance to most of the attractions in Bergen. The breakfast was amazing, all the staff were friendly, and the room was adequately spacious.     Fab hotel with fab staff

    Stayed here for 5 days and would highly recommend . Cristoff and Tomas were so friendly to us every morning and evening . We originally were checked into a room with no window and when asked could we change it was done with no problem and we were in our new room that evening . Breakfast had lots of choice and was fab. The reception area serves beer and wine and is small and intimate . Perfect for a nite cap where board games were available . Staff, location and cleanliness excellent :)

    Centrally located hotel. Right on the main square which can be problematic as noise at night from individuals partying. Room was tiny but adequate. Toilet way too small. Staff very helpful and breakfast typical Norwegian fare.
