    Room with a terrible view. Unhelpful Reception staff

    We had a distressing stay at this hotel. On arrival we were told we’d booked 2 rooms- we hadn’t - as our booking details confirmed. The reception manager didn’t seem to be able to tell me why this might have happened, told me to contact the booking company and declined to help in any way. He and his receptionist spoke good english but then had a conversation in Norwegian before giving us our keys to a pretty awful room. We booked standard room but even so we wondered if we’d been given a particularly awful room. The view was awful and we couldn’t open the window for fresh air as every surface on close neighbouring properties was covered in bird faeces- surely a health hazard?

    Lovely comfortable place to stay near major sights and transportation in Bergen. Good accessible rooms with elevator and ramp into hotel. Nice breakfast though a couple of mornings items ran out early and were not restocked, providing a more limited offering. Still I would likely stay here again.

    After our reservations were canceled at another hotel, our travel agent booked us here. We were so happy at this wonderful boutique hotel. The rooms were large, quaintly decorated in bright colors, awesome bathroom showers. Dormer windows let in plenty of skylight if preferred. The bountiful breakfasts included everything you could think of for breakfast lovers from any country. I did not use the bar but it seemed to be just as adequate. The staff members were all friendly and professional. The whole experience makes me think I will look for boutique hotels from now on.

    room is cozy and the hosts ee in hotel are friendly and very helpful.The free breakfast buffet is superior. To be honest, I didn't expect such good breakfast with the price I paid for the room

    Lovely hotel! Friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Amazing location, clean, and quiet. Would 100% recommend!!!
