  Excellent 3 nights in Bergen

  We stayed at this hotel for three nights and all of it was amazing. The staff in the lobby were kind and friendly at every interaction we had with them. Our favorite, unfortunately I cannot remember her name (Katarina, Katrina?), but she was very helpful in helping my mom find a massage therapist as we were getting used to a drastic time change.Other than the staff, the rooms were very spacious, clean, and quiet. The location was also perfect as it is right in the city center and near practically everything. I loved how there was a grocery store next door.Also, for me being a music lover, I love how much influence there is from Edvard Grieg.When we return to Bergen, Opus XVI will be the first hotel we look at when looking at accommodations.

  Very nice hotel well situated, the rooms are a little small but not too an inconvenient extent. I didn’t eat in as there was a wedding reception and I thought that service would be slow but the menu was good.   A nice little boutique hotel, well located.Staff could be more attentive at the breakfast service. Sometimes slow offering tea/coffee.Could improve decor of lift, felt like a service lift rather than a hotel guest lift.Overall stay very pleasant, rooms clean and comfortable with good walk-in shower. But Toiletry products could have been better quality.   Staying at Opus XVI was a really enjoyable experience for our family.Housed in a beautifully preserved historic building, the hotel immediately makes an impression with its blend of heritage character and modern comfort. There’s a calm, refined atmosphere throughout, and it feels thoughtfully designed without being overly formal.Our family stayed in two classic rooms for one night, which gave us a good sense of the hotel’s consistency. Both rooms were compact, but well planned — smart layouts, high-quality finishes, and everything you need for a comfortable, restful stay. The smaller size never felt like a drawback because the design makes such efficient use of the space.The location is excellent — right in the heart of Bergen, making it easy to walk to key sights, the waterfront, restaurants, and the city’s main attractions. It’s a very convenient base for exploring this gorgeous city on foot.As part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, now aligned with Hilton (previously with Hyatt), the property reflects a strong standard of quality and service. As a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member, I especially appreciated the consistent level of professionalism and the smooth, well-handled experience throughout the stay.Breakfast was a real highlight for everyone. Fresh, generous, and varied, it offered a great early start to the day with plenty of options for different tastes.   Location can't be beat!

  We had a two night stay here before boarding a cruise. Our room was nice and well appointed and typical size for the region. We had absolutely no complaints except that there is no A/C which we knew when booking, but in Norway didn't think we'd need it. While it was cool outside, our room was hot for sleeping, but bed and bedding quite nice. The help was extremely helpful and we actually didn't realize the hotel unions were on strike until we were checking out! Breakfast was included with our room and we had a dinner in the dining room which was excellent but menu very limited. The location of the hotel can't be beat!!!! We could walk the downtown area and most especially the port area was roughly a block away which is where the action seems to be with a multitude of restaurants.
