  Friendly staff, great breakfast and a variety of rooms to choose from for families.Fair value pricing I would say, without remembering exactly what I paid.Location is 10 min walk from the pier/ city center, but is close to an large pond and a small shopping mall.   From check-in to checkout the service provided was outstanding. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Very convenient location to train and harbor and funicular.   All in all, our stay was pleasant. The room was nice. Beds comfortable. The personnel, short staffed by labor strike, were friendly and efficient. The drawbacks were the crowded and chaotic breakfast servings with limited seating, and the traffic noise (loud motorcycles) in middle of night. The latter out of hotel’s control and I found a remedy in ear plugs. Very good location for public transport as hotel right across street from bus, tram and train stations. Great little Vietnamese restaurant, Zen Kafe, two blocks away.   Superb hotel, great location

  This hotel exceeded all our expectations. To the welcoming and friendly staff on our arrival (we were able to put our cases in storage) and the hotel overall was brilliant. A spotlessly clean hotel with lifts to all floors (you had to scan your door fob to use the lift for security). We were on one of the top floors, 12. What a lovely room, an open shower with heated floor. Super comfy bed and pillows, slept like a log! Superb view from the hotel windows. All the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was amazing, everything you could wish for, and more! So fresh and a good section for gluten free too. The location of the hotel was next to the main transport, we used the light rail system, clean, efficient and on time! Thank you all for making our first visit to Norway an incredible one! I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.   Wonderful stay with outstanding breakfast service – special thanks to Giselda!

  I recently stayed at Scandic Ørnen in Bergen and was really impressed by the whole experience. The hotel is in a perfect central location, right next to the bus and train station, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet.But what truly made my mornings special was the breakfast. The buffet is excellent with a great variety of fresh options, but the highlight was definitely Giselda. She welcomed every guest with such genuine warmth and a beautiful smile. She even remembered many people by name, which made everyone feel personally cared for. Her positive aura and friendly energy really set a lovely tone for the day.It’s rare to experience service that feels so sincere and uplifting. Giselda (and the rest of the breakfast team) made a big difference and turned a good hotel into a memorable one.Highly recommended – especially if you appreciate that extra human touch!
