    Room for Four, Prepared for Two

    I had booked a family room for four at the Comfort Hotel Børsparken for one night, consisting of a double bed, sofa bed, and rollaway bed. Check-in was smooth and we headed out to a concert, only returning around midnight.That's when the problems began.First, we discovered the sofa bed was broken. My son pulled it out, sat on the edge, and immediately noticed that part of the frame was damaged. The mattress sat unevenly, and it looked as though the bed could collapse completely. We then realized the room had only been stocked with enough towels and bed linen for two guests, despite the booking clearly being for four.Given the late hour, my sons went to reception. The receptionist was polite, came to the room with additional bed linen, and apologized after inspecting the broken sofa bed. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available and no real solution could be offered. No additional towels were provided.Trying to make the best of the situation, my son rearranged the sofa cushions so he could sleep sideways. While doing so, another part of the sofa broke. At that point, there seemed little point in returning to reception again. Unsurprisingly, he had a very poor night's sleep.The one bright spot of our stay was the breakfast buffet, which was excellent and easily the best part of the experience.Ultimately, a hotel should ensure that rooms are stocked for the number of guests booked and that sleeping arrangements are fully functional before guests arrive. I paid for a room accommodating four people, but one of those beds was broken from the start. I shouldn't have had to pay for my son to sleep on a damaged sofa.

    The room was spacious and clean, but unfortunately far too hot, which resulted in very little sleep. A towel had been placed in the window to let in fresh air, suggesting the hotel may already be aware of the issue.Breakfast was disappointing. All of the hot dishes were cold, and several had developed a skin on top, indicating they had been sitting out for too long.While the hotel is clean and may suit budget-conscious travelers, there are many similarly priced hotels in Oslo that offer a much better overall experience. I would choose another hotel next time.

    Good location from ferry, train station. Room quite good expected the worst after reading previous reviews. We asked for a quiet room staff at reception great, very helpful. Breakfast all that we needed plenty of food. Reception staff doing a good job due to ongoing strike. Thanks

    The friendliness of the staff made my stay much more pleasant. I'm already familiar with the hotel chain, but this is a city hotel with a very good price-quality ratio.

    Great location for access to the train station and the waterfront area by the opera house which is beautiful. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but acceptable, service friendly and helpful but the hotel looks quite dated from outside and in corridors and the rooms really are bad! Very small, bad beds and just feels like a hostel.
