Enjoying an ideal position between the royal palace, the Aker Brygge shopping centre and the town hall, this exclusive hotel is centrally located at the heart of the city of Oslo. It is just 100 m to links to the public transport network and a diverse selection of shops, the castle and the national theatre as well as many entertainment venues are to be found within walking distance.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1900. 169 rooms, including 12 suites, 34 single rooms and 60 double rooms, are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus.     Nothing disappointing here! The front desk was extremely helpful with planning/scheduling what to do and how to get there. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. While we were facing the main street, we had zero street noise. Location can't be beat for shopping, dining, museums, proximity to pier. I really enjoyed the bath products and we had a separate tub and shower in a spacious bathroom.

    Well situated hotel close to the Oslo Rathus and trainstation National Theater which connects it easily to Oslo Airport. We had a lovely room which was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the street. Very quiet rooms, clean, well kept, good service. It has several dining options but the area is also rich in food options. Close to the heart of town, the National Museum, the King’s residence and the harbour.

    This was our third stay at Hotel Continental, Oslo. The fact that we've returned for a third visit speaks for itself. Not only is the Continental a beautiful hotel, the service is impeccable and the location is unmatched. Theatrecaffeeine is a classic, must do for dinner. Do not miss a chance to dine here. Not only is it beautiful and historic, the food is excellent as is the service. The breakfast buffet at the hotel each morning is wonderfully layed out and complete for whatever breakfast you are looking for, and once again, the service is the best! The staff at the Hotel Continental is excellent and always there to assist, whether for questions regarding travel, booking a taxi for you or reservations at local restaraunts. This place is a treasure!
