Location

The hotel is an urban hideaway situated in Oslo's Old Town, within walking distance of the central station and the main street of Karl Johans Gate (Karl Johan Street), featuring cobblestone pavements, cafés, street vendors and musicians. This Oslo hotel is close to the University of Oslo (Universitetet i Oslo), the Aker Brygge shopping and entertainment district, Holmenkollen ski jump arena and the National Gallery (Nasjonalgalleriet), the national art gallery of Norway. Oslo-Gardermoen Airport is minutes away. The city of Oslo, Norway's capital, is centrally located in the heart of Scandinavia and offers beautiful scenery. Visitors will enjoy the great skiing, which is only minutes from the city centre by the local underground transportation system. A variety of restaurants and lounges are located in the surrounding area.

Facility

The hotel has 2 lifts and features 99 rooms, including 11 suites and 22 single rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

    Room and bathroom are tidy. Comfortable bed. I can find the coffee maker in the room. It takes few minutes to walk up the tram station.The hotel provides good breakfast and dinner as well as tea time.

    The hotel is located not far from the main train and bus station in Oslo, a 10-minute walk away. Like every Home Hotel from the Strawberry group, it offers breakfast, fika, and dinner, tea and coffee. For breakfast, there is a good selection of food, tea, coffee, juices. For dinner, there is a selection for the main course and the menu is available in advance. Certainly all delicious. The services in the hotel are quite good, the reception desk is quick to check in, and the friendly staff are always available for you. The hotel also has a gym and a sauna. Contact the reception if you want to use the sauna 15 minutes earlier. I didn't have a bathrobe in the room, but I think you can rent one at the reception. The hotel is recommended for its location and courtesy and service. I will gladly return to the same. Thanks to the entire staff.

    The hotel has excellent location. Walking distance to all landmarks in Oslos city centrum. The dinner was really good (if i compare with the Home hotels in Drammen and Bergen). The room was small but cozy. The parking is reasonably priced for Oslo. I can definitely recommend the hotel.

    As a family of 3 my 15 year oldDaughter was delighted to have her own room. Great family room!! Staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel is on a good position. Complimentary breakfast was great, lots of choice. Dinner less so. One option and finishes very early but accept as it’s complimentary you get what you get. Where we were disappointed was the hotel was under going renovation and we were not told on booking. Whilst it was not a big deal it did mean we were eating breakfast on our own in a conference room. The only other downside was the towels that were almost threadbare, and thin and hard. Not really ideal. Rooms are only cleaned on request. Either way would stay again,

    My sister and I stayed for 2 days before going on a Hurtigruten cruise to the North Cape. We had booked 2 standard rooms, which were spacious enough for one occupant. Everything was clean and the mattress was comfortable. The included breakfast was very good and plentiful. The afternoon coffee and cake was delicious, as was the dinner. We were amazed to get so much good food included in the price. But what was even more outstanding was the friendliness of the staff. Thank you Arild, Corazon and everyone else who made our stay so enjoyable.
